Just Pups

Devastating experience. My seven year old daughter, Sarah and I purchased a 9 week old multi- shu on February 17, 2016 from the Paramus store. On day two, I thought the dog was going to die. She was making choking/ coughing noises non-stop, had mucus all over, was bleeding out of her rectum, and couldn't control any of her bodily functions. One day she wouldn't even move at all. I couldn't get her to react or drink anything. I literally shot syringes of water into her almost lifeless body. I brought her to the animal hospital 4 times in 8 days. She was found to have giardia, kennel cough, and an upper respiratory infection. Our 4 lb dog who we named Lilly, had 2 x rays and was put on 4 medications. When I called the manager, said if I could bring in a "not fit for sale" sign, they would take her back. How could I? I was responsible for this life. Needless to say, I have worked very hard with over 5 sleepless nights and spent over 1 k to get her stable. It's so sad that an experience that was supposed to be such a wonderful gift to my daughter has turned in to such a nightmare. I pray she will be ok. Please do not purchase a dog from this store. They do not care for the lives of animals. It makes me absolutely sick. more

I purchased a Doberman pinscher about a year ago and I can honestly say he is the best dog I have ever had! He has a great temperament and has been healthy since day 1. I expected him to be difficult to train due to the fact that he was about 6 months when we purchased him but that wasn't the case, he adjusted so well to his new environment and was trained as fast as can be. When purchasing our puppy we were not pressured and we felt very comfortable asking as many questions as we needed to. I would recommend anyone looking to add a new member to their family to stop in to Just Pups and meet their adorable well adjusted puppies! more

All puppies r sick and they go to Amish in PA with school bus filled with crates and load up the puppies. Owners do not reimburse vet expenses and they r very dishonest about where they come from. more

i found a very small yorkie in paramus. the manager offered to get pics of the parents from the breeder and call me. she didn't call so I called her and she said the breeder never called back but she would keep trying and call me back. i checked in the emerson store and they said teacups die in 5 years and have health issues. I should check to see if it was bred to be that small or if it was just the smallest in the litter. since they STILL hadn't called back, I went back to paramus and asked. The manager said she'd ask the breeder, (who still didnt respond to her calls). I asked if the puppy had siblings I could see to tell if they were all small or if just this one was; she said emerson had one. she called them and they said the puppy was very sick (when I went there a couple of days before they were all sick) so they took it home to take care of it; hmm. i told her, i'd go after work and maybe I could remember which one it was by the cage it was in. If that dog was larger that meant this one was just smaller and was not bred to be a teacup, and I would come back and buy the smaller yorkie. while on my way to the emerson store, paramus finally called me back; but to tell me they'd sold the dog after i left. didn't appreciate the runaround; very disappointing and poor customer service. more
