I recently had my fuel pump replaced by Northfield Auto Care and the final bill was less than what they quoted me over the phone. Great guys who do honest work at a fair price. I recommend them to everyone I know and will definitely return when more repairs are needed.

Aquatic Pets, as the name might imply, primarily sells fish, with a handful of lizards and the like available as well (plus the occasional cat wandering around). The woman who runs the store is extremely helpful, and is happy to help diagnose fish problems as well as offer advice on what fish to buy, particularly ones that will stay in the same aquarium together without causing each other problems. The prices are reasonable, and there is a variety of pet supplies available as well. A great selection for such a small store, I would recommend this to anyone looking for fish.

The Holiday Store is located in an incovenient location for me. I rarely frequent the place because of this reason. However, I will say that they operate one of the cleanest, most spacious convenience store in town. They also have a pretty good selection of items.

This Kwik Trip is clean and well stocked. A tad crowded feeling, and the location is inconvenient unless you are traveling TOWARDS Northfield on Hwy 19. Car wash is right next door, but are not affiliated with each other.
PROS: Clean, Car wash next door

Digs is one of the few stores downtown that could argue that it is selling things that people actually need due to the fact that they sell home furnishings. However, it would be a weak argument; the merchandise in digs is well chosen and classy, but much of it is overpriced and a very similar look could be achieved for far less by purchasing items at a department store or outlet such as Ikea. Still, if you’re looking for that one unique piece to make or break a room – this store could come in handy.

Lansing Hardware employed most of my friends in high school so I went there to visit friends more than anything else. However, as I’ve now worked in a carpenter’s shop for a few years – I don’t often find that Lansing is my choice of hardware stores in town. They really are rather comparable to the other places in town, but I might argue that their selection is slightly more limited.
