This used to be one of my "usual" stores for a long time. I like Sav-a-Center's loyalty program and generally their stores are well stocked. This one is also closest to my home, so I'd visit it often. Lately the service there just hasn't been very good. We all understand post-Katrina problems, so I wasn't complaining much; until I spent 45 minutes trying to check out recently. By that time the ice-cream I bought was melted and flies kept trying to land on the meat. The cashier, who was new, did not know how to ring up this or that, nor how to apply discounts that they offer. The front-end person (and yes, I do have their names ;-) couldn't care less. The co-manager, Mr. Timothy Rider, displayed an extraordinary disregard for a customer, coupled with disrespect and indifference - truly a unique combination. To add to all of this, when he finally deemed to speak to me, he chewed gum very obviously the entire time. Guess what? This is one store that will not see me again any time soon. I'll just drive 10 minutes further if I feel I have to shop a Sav-a-Center at all.
