Excellent food! We live in North Bend, and have been driving to Issaquah for the last few years for Thai. The drives have haulted! : ) The food is amazing, I must recommend the Masaman Curry with the Crispy Pancake. It's hands down the best dish they have. I've taken friends, and out-of-towners here and they have all raved about it. Try it out for yourself, it's the best money you'll spend on dining out!
Pros: Excellent Food
Cons: They are not open in the middle of the afternoon for something like an hour or two?

Well, if you weren't looking for it, you'd pass it! Sandwiched in a small part of this strip mall, sits a very delicious and affordable Thai restaurant. You get a generous portion of food for the price you pay. I would say Thai Basil is comparable to another great restaurant which can be found along the Southcenter Parkway next to Red Robin. If you're in Kent, visit Thai Basil. I would guess you'd be just as satisfied as I've been each time I have eaten here.
Pros: Price, Quality, Service
Cons: Located obscurely in a strip mall

Great food for both vegetarians and meat-eaters. It's all home-cooking - in other words, made all from scratch, including most of their noodles. The result is a freshness and goodness that shines through the food. the staff is very accomodating of vegetarians, and most dishes can be made vegan, if you ask. Truly a Thai food paradise. I just happened upon this place, and could have easily missed it since it's hidden in a strip mall and the word of mouth hasn't spread about the fantastic food yet. It's well worth searching out!
Pros: Great food, good prices, accomodating staff
Cons: none

More than a standard teriyaki restaurant, Saya's offers a wider variety of Japanese and Thai menu items, and a nicer dine-in decor, making it a good lunch location. Food delivered to your table, but pay at the cashier.

I've only been to a few Thai places, but this one definitely stuck out in my mind. The neon walls and Asian decoration gives a very unique atmosphere, and the food is simply delicious. The serving sizes are pretty good, but beware - if you ask for the spiciest flavoring, you better be prepared for SPICY. Even two stars leaves its mark.
The only issue I had was location. It's easy to miss, and parking anywhere in downtown Kent can be a hassle. But this obstacle is worth jumping over for the food at Grandma's Thai.

Saigon Rose is located in Lake Meridian off Kent Kangley Road (516), in what used to be the Albertson's plaza. They are a Vietnamese & Thai restaurant. They carry Pho, a wonderful beef noodle soup; great for those Northwest cold dreary days when all you want to do is curl up in a comfy chair with your blanket, next to the fireplace, and read a good book.
For other days, they carry your usual Thai favorites, Phad Thai, Swimming Angel (Rama), Larb Gai. Our favorites are the Honey Peanut Prawns, Crispy Noodle (Bird's Nest), Beef Green Beans, and combo appetizer.
For dessert, they started carrying hum bows (pork & coconut) and mango cheesecake. (Which I am eating for breakfast now, with coffee)
This restaurant is a mom & pop shop. They accept major credit cards, except American Express. This is in a plaza so the ambiance is casual and most dishes run around $9. ( http://www.saigonrose.net )
