A superb restaurant, so good we booked for two nights later. Following a warm welcome into the restaurant we had excellent service from the highly efficient professional waiters who described the menu, evening specials and extensive wine list. The food was well prepared, cooked, seasoned and presented. On the palate, the cacophony of flavours was an absolute delight and a testimony to the skill of the chef. Will I use this Mavi restaurant on my next visit to Hartford, most definitely, indeed it will be one of the pleasurable experiences.

Ginza is my absolute favorite place for Sushi. The prices are very reasonable, the service is always wonderful and the food is always so tasty! I would recommend the Angry Dragon roll, the philadelphia roll, the chicken and vegetable tempura and the miso soup! Also, if are with a large group, the hibachi show is very cool too! Ginza is the best!
Pros: Angry Dragon Roll. Plenty of Parking.

There are only a handful of Jamaican Restaurants in this area which can seriously compete against each other in a cook off. Peppers would definitely be one of them. There is nothing on the menu which is not bursting with flavour and worth every penny. The food is good and the prices are quite reasonable. What else can one ask for?
PROS: The food is simply delicious
CONS: Parking! Parking! Parking!

My wife and I are Thai lovers, eating Thai locally where we can find it and in other cities when we travel. This place is great and has become a frequent stop. We never leave dissatisfied or disappointed. Food is always flavorful, sauces are fantastic, prepaerd to the exact "hottness" you like. Service is always good, ambiance' is casual. The Bloomfield location is always full on the wekends, so call ahead. Their new location in Hartford (Tamarind Grill) is more "upscale". Way, way better than "Lemon Grass Thai" in West Hartford, no comparison.

Concetta's is a local restaurant/pizza joint, and while some things are standard there are some stand-outs. First is a killer pizza called Clams Casino. It comes with either a red or white sauce, and is topped with whole clams, bacon, garlic, green pepper, and onions. It sounds weird, but everyone I know who's ever had it has loved it.
The other killer dish is the pasta i fagioli soup. Pasta, beans, bacon, and lots of veggies. It tastes like homemade.
I haven't eaten my way though the pasta dishes, but I understand they're pretty much standard. So are the beverages.
The service can be a little slow, but it's worth waiting especially if you're ordering pizza.
PROS: Excellent pizza
CONS: Slowish service at off-peak hours

We often order pizza from Max's for work-related lunches. There are many pizza choices in the Bloomfield area but this is the place to go if you want to please everyone. The pizza tends to be greasy and not popular for some of us health-conscious people - but it tastes good and splurging for the taste of it once in awhile won't kill you.

The food at Town & Country is really great. If anything, they give you too much. Prices are excellent and staff is friendly and efficient (most of the time) ... it gets really busy at lunch time.
This used to be the place smokers came to eat and puff so it was off-limits for me. I still feel like I don't want to eat-in for that reason, although its been cleaned up.
Still, worth going for breakfast or lunch.
