I would recommend anyone visiting Atlantic City to make this a stop down or back. It's a wonderful colonial restaurant in a little colonial village. Pricey but worth it with great service, fantastic food and a terrific menu.

My teenager loves it too!

Phoenix Diner is a clean diner with great service. its open 24/7 all year round and all holidays. The food is great especially breakfest. The management is very good, the service is awesome. The desserts are very appealing and taste great. Baking is done on premises. The diner is inexpensive with all sorts of good foods. Breakfest lunch and diner is served all hours of the day. This is the place for anyone who wants to go out and eat. The view in the side room is awesome. its the best diner ive been it

Gourmet Italian Cuisine, or just Gourmet as most people around here call it, is a great local place, whether you crave nice Italian dinner out or pizzeria fare at home. In the restaurant, the meal starts out with a basket of various types of delicious warm bread. The menu is large and includes practically every Italian favorite you could think of. Chicken parmigiana being my favorite, I often get that, and they do a very good job of it. I may be picky, but I have found that many restaurants just don't get it right.
Gourmet is such a popular place in town that families often come for dinner, but the dining room is nice enough that you could go there on a date or other romantic dinner. The only problem is sometimes it can get loud, so it may not be a great choice for people with a hearing problem or anyone with a hearing aid (I have heard that while hearing aids allow people to hear much better, they do not work well in settings with lots of background noise). To the restaurant's credit, it used to be much louder before they did some interior redesigning. And don't worry if you're not looking for a fancy romantic dinner, the menu includes pizzeria food like pizzas, subs, strombolis and calzones. I would advise against the pizza though, there are better places in town to get a slice. It's the one thing they don't do that well.

The pizza here is great, and delivery is quick. The dining room service was also very friendly. They also have great salads and sandwiches. I would definitely recommend having a sit down meal.

Although I'm told that students from nearby Stockton College do frequent this bar, to me this will always be the ultimate townie bar. It's not especially clean (PLEASE do everything you can to avoid the lady's room), I've seen near-fights at the bar, bad musicians playing guitar, and always football on the TV's. But they have cheep pitchers of beer, friendly local servers, and knowledgeable bartenders. This is the place to go with your friends on a Friday night when you don't care what you look like or who you see.
During dinner hour this is actually a family restaurant with very good food, so the above comments only refer to the bar at night.

From pizza to full course dinners this restaurant in the Shoppes at Smithville is an excellent choice. They do a brisk take out business. The front section has several booths and tables and they also have a small dining room. This BYOB dining room offers wonderful Italian specialties. I usually eat there only on weekends and it is always busy. It is a great choice for an excellent dinner at a moderate price.

First time visitors will be blown away by this incredible food! It's a little pricey, but competative and well worth it. They have fresh soup made daily that always includes Minestrone, and if you're lucky enough to go on a day that they have Tomato Basil with Tortellini, DON'T PASS IT UP!
