Xochimilco Restaurant

I am a resident of Dallas, TX who was born and raised in Troy, MI. After all these years, I recently visited Detroit again, and got the privilege of dining at Xochmilco's. Some things never change (Thank God!!!!!) The chips are piping hot when served, the guacamole is to die for, and hands down, the enchiladas are the best I have ever eaten!!!!! And keep in mind, I live in Texas, and I have tried a lot of places down here!!! Love the ambience, the service is wonderful, and overall, it is just a wonderful experience that everyone should try at least once. Not located in the best of neighborhoods, but that is easy to overlook after taking the first bite of their wonderful food!!!!! Pros: Food (OUTSTANDING!!), Service, Ambience Cons: NONE!!!!! more

Xochimilco food, atmosphere and drinks is what I look for when my friends and I go out to celebrate my homecoming! Yes, when I come back to Detroit for a visit... I live in Florida it is a must that all 10-13 of us meet up for nachos and lots of drinks! The food is great and the drinks are loaded. Best part is the stay open late night.... the later the better! more

It's hard to find if you don't know where you're going and it's in an area you don't want to get lost in. But if you can find it the food is excellent. The atmosphere is authentic. It's one of the few places you can take a Texan for Mexican food outside of Texas. Pros: Value, Food, Ambiance Cons: Environs, Hard to find more

The service at Xochimilco's is excellent with the food provided stupendous. Portions are more than it is possible to eat with left overs enjoyed again at home. The prices are unbelievably low for the quality of food served. One dreams of returning immediately. Pros: parking, handicap available, food & service more

Xochimilco Restaurant serves up all the standards in Tex-Mex cuisine. The reasonable prices and fast service bring families back time and time again.
