Great Little Wine Boutique in Beverly Hills! 8/17/2008

I LOVE the Wine Valet! Whenever I need to pick up a bottle, I know that the staff at Wine Valet wll be able to help me find just the right wine. They have great picks .... not the usual stuff, this is an imaginative selection. You'd think that the wines would be high priced as it's in Beverly Hills, but it's not ... I've compared the prices to other places and they are right in line (and sometimes less!) Good luck getting better service at any other wine store in L.A.! Pros: Great Service, Reasonable Prices, Good Selection for such a small place Cons: Not viewable from the street so you have to know about it (or be parking your car!) more

Best little wine boutique in town! 8/17/2008

I love shopping at the Wine Valet... although the tiny store seems to offer a relatively small selection compared to the larger wine stores around town, I always find exactly what I am looking for whether a wonderful California Cabernet or a lesser known French Chinon, which is my favorite! The owners, who are incredibly accessable and inviting, are always available to answer any questions about thier wines or to offer food pairings - they always have the best suggestions about what to cook at home and to serve with your new wine or where to eat out in LA. Pros: free valet parking more

How to find a wine gem and impress your friends 8/15/2008

Whenever I want to impress my very knowledgeable wine snob friends with a wine they do not know - I call up Wine Valet. Their knowledgeable people always find me a hidden gem that none of my friends know about. The wines are very well priced and the best thing is that come in a very green re-useable wine sack. They also deliver. What else could you ask for in a very well located wine shop in Beverly Hills. Try them - your friends will be impressed. Pros: They have never let me down on their selections Cons: You cannot drink in the store more

Perfect Gem 8/15/2008

This wine store is like a jewelbox - tucked away in the garage for one of the city's most expensive restaurant, Wine Valet offers a superb range of wine choices, for the expert and novice alike. The owners, Julie and Marc, have managed to curate a selection of hard to find wines, plus top sellers in their categories, making Wine Valet the only wine store needed. From the $20 and under, there are interesting and lovely choices, and as the price increases, Wine Valet offers delicious and fabulous choices until the sky's the limit. Plus, their cabernet & cashmere is the BEST gift to take any host - perfect for a thank you for a weekend, or a trip on a private jet, to a birthday. Love this place, and the staff are warm and welcoming and love to share their finds with inquiring minds. 100 on the Parker scale. Pros: highly curated, impossible to go wrong. beautiful space, cool people. Cons: none, more

great eclectic wines, best free valet anywhere, great access to Rodeo Dr. 7/23/2008

We just love eclectic wines well chosen, and the easy parking is a dream. Whenever your in Beverly Hills, this is the place to go; park for free in the most elegant valet in town, pop in and get a bottle, or better get a case (who isnt always running out?) cause it's just steps to your car. The best gift idea yet was the hand tied bottles of grand cru champagne that come with a little gold scissor to cut the twine, too cool Dampierre Family Reserve. Another of our favorite things to do is simply to try a new grape or a region we've not had in a long time. The gracious owners have a story behind every wine, ask about the Chinon from Couly Duthiel, the Baronnie Madeleine. It's kind of a Hollywood spot, we've spotted a few stars there and a lot of people that make the movies happen from behind the camera. It's Beverly Hills, of course it's where Hollywood shops. Pros: parking, easy access, private, one on one customer service, elegant and easy Cons: retail only no bar more

Editorial
  • In Short
The meaning behind the name of this intimate wine shop is two-fold: For one, it's located on the P-1 level of the parking garage--right next to the valet--inside the ritzy Two Rodeo Complex; secondly, it offers valet-style personalized service. Previously a flower stand and then a juice bar, the space has been beautifully converted into a specialty boutique by wine connoisseurs Julie and Mark Brosterman. After thousands of individual tastings, the owners distilled their selections to 80 wines, designing the shop to create a unique experience tailored to the patron's taste. With handpicked bottles lining the vintage shelves along the walls, the store specializes in "New World" California labels and "everyday" wines from smaller production wineries.
