Wildwood Inn

This place is on the top of my list for hotels. we came here from Xenia just to get out and relax and have fun after a LONG day of canoeing on the river... so worth it to come here! So we did just that the rooms are nice and clean the Bars calm, no drama that's always good there's plenty for the kids to do pool game room its just fantastic! defiantly come here and give it a chance before you look at the ungrateful peoples post because to me this was paradise! My family and I were planning a trip to Cincinnati to attend Kings Island. Last minute booking had me selecting a location that was too far away for our trip. My selection was Wildwood Inn based on feedback from some of our peers. Unfortunately although my wife and I had discussed several hotels it wasn't until she arrived home late that we discovered I had selected one that we had discussed prior to discovering the location would make it difficualt day trips to Kings Island. I called my travel company and they were not very helpful about cancelling the arrangement without the one nights stay charge since it was last minute and would be outside the 24 hour window. I then called the hotel (mind you this was at 1:00 in the morning) and spoke with a pleasant and helpful desk clerk named David. David unfortunately could not help me but gave me the name of the hotel manager (Chris Shively). I actually spoke with Mr.Shively at 10:00A.M that morning and he not only cleared the penalty charge but he called my travel agent and made sure the charges were reversed. Although my wife and I were unable to stay at Mr.Shively's hotel based on the hospitality he and his staff have shown us without even meeting us we will be planning a trip either for our anniversary or just to take out children. I have read the reviews and see a mixed bag of results. Being in the service industry myself I know that opinions vary and sometimes it is hard to shake a bad representation based on a few results. I encourage Chris and his staff to continue giving this same kind of service. Hopefully we'll see them soon. more

it was a very nice hotel more

We stayed for 2 nights and had a good time mainly because of the wonderful dome area with pools and waterfall hot tub. The pool also has cascading water above it as well. These all made for a very relaxing stay. more

The room was a ""normal"" Room but was very clean, The hotel could be updated but was great the staff was friendly. The pool area was awesome! The kids spent all their time there and loved every second of it. very close to the Newport Aquarium. more

The staff was courteous, the rooms older but adequately maintained. We did not partake of the amenities (pool, breakfast, themed rooms) since we checked in late, slept, showered and left. The motel is very convenient to I-75, in a mostly commercial neighborhood with fast-food and chain restaurants nearby. more

Easy to find. Staff was very friendly. Sleeping room was secure. Ease in parking. When pool area closed all was quiet and we were able to sleep. Continential breakfast had a nice selection. more

The pool & hot tub were wonderful! Lots of stuff for children to do to keep their time there fun & exciting! They have a pool, junglegym with tunnels& slides and a game room, all stay open til 11pm. For adults relaxing in the huge hot tub With a waterfall is great. And if u need dinner or a snack local restaurants deliver right to your room!! more

We really enjoyed our stay.The staff were very friendly and helpful.The check-in and check-out was quick and easy.The room was spotless.The beds were very comfortable.We really enjoyed the heated spa with its waterfall.The pools were warm and clean.Nice breakfast,big breakfast room.The location was ideal for us because we had to be at the Childrens Hospital the next morning more

If you want a fantasy stay here's your chance. They have everyhting you can imagine!!!! Just check out their site. It was really fun just to experience staying in a pretend cave for a night. No windows. A jacuzzi with a waterfall!! What fun!!! more

I had the cheapest room that included 2 double/queen beds, refrig, microwave, cable tv, small table w/2 chairs for like $73. Not bad. I stripped the beds down looking for bugs the second I opened the door and didnt find any. The beds are zipped in plastic, and the sheets were clean. I nvr sleep with the top comforter on the bed so I took it off, but it looked ok. The carpet wasn't new, but didn't have any stains and looked kept up. They had granite-looking countertops and updated sink fixtures. The bathroom had a new looking toilet, updated shower/tub combo w/nice fixtures, large tan tiling on the floor and walls which were really pretty. I was kinda shocked. I was going in with the mind-frame of not liking it at all, due to reviews, but wanted to see for myself if it was ok enough to stay for the night so my kids could swim for a day. Our room was only 2 mins from the pool so i was glad i didn't pay the extra $20-$30 to be pool side! The pool area could use a paint job but other than that it was clean and nice looking. I did another bug check this morning when I woke up just incase lol...but still found nothing. My experience was worth my lil $73. more

To add a little spice back into marriage try this hotel's theme rooms. They also have theme rooms that is fun for families. A little pricey but hey, where else can you sleep in a 1950's car, treehouse, pirate ship, ice cave, etc. in style and comfort? more

we stayed in a jaccuzi room. the room was exactly as described, and we have been very pleased with the stay each time we have been here. we have been coming to your hotel even before we got married. we stayed in a jaccuzi room on our wedding night, and even on some anniversaries. thanks for staying reasonably priced. more

Absolutely LOVED the western room. My kids thought it was the greatest - they loved playing like they were in an old west bar. Loved that you all had ping pong also. Great experience!! more

Wildwood Inn is a unique place to stay. Great place to take kids or to get away with your spouse. We loved the Treehouse Room last year and thoroughly enjoyed the Aladdin Suite this year! A very cool experience. We highly recommend this place! more
