Any time of the year, you can visit Wannemakers for the very best items for your home. In the winter, they carry the best Christmas lighting and artificial trees. In the summer, they have the best garden center around. Their plants, trees and shrubs are always cared for beautifully. Their store carries rather unique items for your home and garden, and their prices are reasonable. Their service is always exceptional. more

Great plants 8/23/2005

Wannemaker's is a great place to go to get your summer plants and vegetables. The quality is much higher than you'd find in any other store-- especially grocerstores etc. in terms of quality, the plants you find ther would be the best with places like home depot etc. coming in second and grovery stores third. They also have more than just plants. You can buy wonderful wooden swings and playsets there as well. more

Terrific Store! 8/23/2005

Wannemaker's is the ideal home and garden center in the Chicago land area. It is big and has everything you could ever need for any project. The founder just recently passed away, and i didnt think it could remain the same, but so far it has. Prices are good, staff is good and friendly, products are long lasting. Overall i give Wannemaker's Home and Garden Center four stars out of five. more

Great quality in trees, bushes and plants 8/4/2005

Wannemakers is a great place to go for the unusual plant or tree. The quality is excellent and they are very helpful in solving various garden problems. They have ponds and pond supplies. The aquatic plants are numerous. They also have a wide display of fountains, from the very small to huge monuments. I always have the best success with their annuals and vegetable plants. They are a little more expensive then what you might get at a grocery store but the quality makes them the better value. more

Great Garden Center 7/26/2005

Wannemaker's is a great place to buy plants, flowers and EVERYTHING else for your garden. The employees are very knowledgeable and helpful. They have a large selectin of plants. Nearly anything and everything you could want. It's a great place to just browse and you will end up leaving with so many beautiful items! They also carry ponds and pond supplies. With a large selection of aquatic plants and fountains. Their annuals and vegetable plants are a more expensive then what you might get at a grocery store but the quality makes them the better value. more
