Editorial review from Citysearch 12/27/2013

I went to Wagon Works yesterday (12-26-13) to see if they had some fuel hose I needed to fix my VW Beetle. Phil told me to ask for Erik in the back. Erik was very helpful and got me what I needed. I told him about a problem I was having with my car with the shifting. He took me to the ""shifting"" area and explained fully what I needed to do. It was too much work for me so I asked what it would cost for him to do the work for me and how long it would take. Very reasonable and very quick. I brought it in at around 2:30 and got it back at a little after 4:00. My VW shifts like a new car! Erik did an excellent job and I would recommend Wagon Works to anyone with a classic VW. Thanks to Phil and Erik!\r more

Worst Volvo Mechanic Ever 10/25/2011

Took my 1988 240DL in for oil leaks and engine overheating. They did fix the oil leaks, which were because of old cam/crank seals. However they also decided to ""go ahead and"" replace the throttle positioning sensor, oil separating unit, and motor mounts. What the f**k? 820$ I also had them put in a ""new"" water pump - they were not sure the old one was working or not. Why? Aren't you the f**king mechanic? At any rate, ""new"" water pump fails the day after I pick up the car. I take it back and they call to tell me it is probably a blown head gasket. Again, are you kidding. After explaining, again, how there was a four foot diameter puddle of coolant in my driveway directly under the water pump, they went ahead and put in a knew unit. They did however notify me it was a much more expensive unit than the first. Well, use quality parts and your costumers won't have to come back. I digress. It was a shitty experience. I will never go back. I will tell everyone I know, with a Volvo, not to go there. These guys put the ""crook"" in ""crooked f**king mechanic"". They are the reason people mistrust this industry. more
