Where do I begin? Rude, condescending, a liar? I had a Groupon and planned for almost a full month to give myself a spa day. No easy feat since it meant getting a day off from work AND having child care. I finally booked my spa day.... a long massage and a facial. When I showed up early for my appointment, the first thing the receptionist said was, ""Didn't you get my message?"" Um, no. Why would I drive 20 minutes from Covington if I got a message? The receptionist swore up and down that he called me to cancel but there was no record of any call on my iPhone which has a call history for the past month, nor was there anything on my home or work voice mail. I told him he must have dialed the wrong number and he said, ""Gee, I hope not."" Huh? He wouldn't even admit that he screwed up. I don't personally believe he ever called. He's a liar and extremely condescending. The person who was scheduled to do my massage and facial, canceled the night before due to ""car trouble"" Really, no trains or busses to Kent Station? Whenever I have car trouble they give me a loner. Anyhow, the main issue was not calling me and the secondary issue was canceling in the first place and not offering any type of additional service or discount to make it up to me. They offered me NOTHING besides a condescending smile and a ""sorry"". I would love to talk to a manager but the same snippy guy always answers the phone. I requested a REFUND from GROUPON. We'll see what happens. I don't think VR would be very happy with her receptionist. He can't dial a phone number and makes no apologies when he clearly screws up. I was SO disappointed to not have the spa day I was looking forward to. Luckily the Daniel Ross Salon in Covington was very accommodating and was able to fit me in for both services and I got a discount for joining their Spa Club. VR loses, Daniel Ross wins. I also recommend Salon Bellissima for hair. They use Aveda products and the stylists are amazing. more

Well, where do I start? The salon closed and none of the clients were notified. The least they could have done is let their clients know...it's the right thing to do. Furthermore, like the other review said, there was high turnover and the girls working there weren't happy. They were treated awfully by management and the unhappiness showed. If I were a fly on the wall I would probably see a lot of unfair treatment, but that's an assumption. I am disappointed in management and their lack of courtesy to communicate to their clients or give their staff more notice. I think there is much more to them closing than what it says on their website. If they opened the salon again or opened a brand new salon I would walk right past it. I went to Butterfly salon for 8 months getting waxing, and massages. I neverhad the same aesthetician more than twice and the massage thereapist quit after 7 months. I tried to get a record of my massages printed on Butterfly letterhead for insurance purposes. I asked for over a week for this information, Every time I called or went in, the receptionist had no ideas what I was talking about and most of the time could not find me as a client. By the end of the week, I was irritated and short with the receptionist. I was not abusive or disruptive. I was given a letter from the owner stating that if I crossed the threshold of the salon, the staff was instructed to call security. I never did get the information I requested. The owner is a psycho!!! more

i would highly recommened Butterfly Salon To anyone! I had a full foil and cut by Trisha, She was more than great I got A compliment Pariffin dip. and a great shampoo. She Listened to me and Gave me exactly what i asked for. I strongly suggest for you to try her. Pros: the prices are very reasonable Cons: couldnt find any more

I get massages fairly regularly where I live in Texas, had a couple of hours free and was able to get in with Danielle. I'm a runner and had a race 2 days before the massage and my calves were pretty sore. She loosened them up very well with perfect pressure. Easily one of the best massages I've ever had actually. The spa is very nice, great atmosphere. The receptionist was very kind too. Pros: Service, atmosphere, value more

Heidi Mitchell was wonderful. She did exactly what I asked for. She explained to me how much it would cost as I had originally thought I wanted different services than what we ultimately decided on. I was undecided on how to fix a bad haircut, but she took control and suggested the best route for me. The cut is perfect. The salon is beautiful, organized, clean, with great lighting and accoustics --not so loud like some salons can be. It's a God-send for the south end, and has convenient parking within a few feet of the front door! more

The atmosphere at the Butterfly is extremely relaxing. They have gentle music and waterfalls. The staff was extremely polite and helpful. The person who did my was was extremely professional and courteous considering what she was doing. I have searched endlessly for a salon like this one that made me feel so comfortable in an otherwise uncomfortable setting. I would definitely go back, and have actually scheduled my appointments for the remainder of the calendar year. This is the worst salon I have ever been to! First, the person who did my hair (who is also the manager!) did a HORRIBLE job on my partial foil. I had probably about 1/2 - 3/4"" roots right after the foil. I asked for a trim all over (which consisted of many layers) and all that she did was trim not even 1/8"" off the bottom with no layers. When I asked for the layers to be put in she told me that if she did she'd cut off all of the color, even though my hair is sholder length with the shortest layer only 2"" shorter! To top it all off when I got to the reception desk to pay I was surprised on the price (they dont review this before like Gene Juarez or any other nice salon with varying prices). I ended up going back and asking for the foil to be fixed and the manager told me that there is no way to get any closer! I was horrified and now tell everyone I know in the Kent area how horrible Butterfly is! They are rude if you dont get what you want and they are totally inexperienced and just horrible with hair in general! STAY AWAY!
