This is a Cuban Restaurant with adequate food. It is not the best Cuban Restaurant in town, however, it is reliably average with fast service and generally corteous. Avoid it at...

delicious 8/20/2002

I have been visiting this restaurant for over 12 years now and the food is still the bomb. My favorite dish is the ""arroz imperial"". Its kind of like a chicken and yellow rice casserole, but oh so good (with cheese). The food is oh so tasty and unexpensive. I love this place. Pros: inexpensive, good variety Cons: noisy, limitd parking more

Que SABROSO!!! 8/19/2002

This is Classic Cuban Cuisine..... The ""Vaca Frita"" is to die for!!! It's served with rice and black beans which is awesome. If you visit Miami and don't make it here, you haven't been in Miami!!! The Fried Plantains are also delicious and the atmosphere is very friendly, and my wife's favorite desert ""tres leche"" is mouth-watering! Don't leave without a cafe cubano! Pros: awesome food, reasonable prices Cons: usually crowded more

My fave! 8/5/2002

Cuban breakfasts are the best! Fresh, big portions, and great price. I love Versaille's cafe con leches. The service is also spectacular and I am never disappointed. Pros: Everything Cons: Always busy! more

the day starts here 7/25/2002

There is no better place to begin the day.The cultural experience is fun for an ignorant virginian. The sights, sounds and interesting people would make this a must-go,even without the excellent food.Never had anything here that didn't rate superior.Their milkshakes were a big surprise.Best I've had in S.Fl.My cuban friend can't open his eyes without a dash of their excellent cuban coffee.I can't testify about that, but he's never lied to me-especially on matters culinary.I get to miami 5 or six times a year and can't leave town w/o a visit to this icon of tradition and taste Pros: quality, beautiful women, value Cons: sometimes crowded, nothing more

OVERATED AND OLD 7/18/2002

Maybe 5 yrs ago they had good food, but last week most of it tasted like it came out of a can. I should have known better when I saw a tour bus pull into the parking lot. I mistakenly took a client there for lunch and the only thing that saved the meal is that she did not know what Cuban food was supose to taste like. more

Sunrise or Sunset - Good Food! 6/18/2002

No matter what time of day, you can fill up on good food at Versailles. Try thier Sunday Brunch - from grits to chicken salad. First thing they serve you is your OJ, cafe con leche and your Cuban toast, just read your paper and relax. Pros: good food, prices reasonable, good service Cons: street parking more

  • When locals only have time to take out-of-town visitors to one Cuban restaurant, this landmark spot is usually the choice, due to its history & its accurate translation of a traditional Cuban Restaurant. Whether you are dropping in for lunch or dinner, or just passing bye for some traditional Cuban pastries and coffee at the Bakery, Versailles is the place to be! We are located right on Calle ocho (8th Street) and 35th Avenue.
