Service Dept. is a BIG Rip off. Last year I took my Razor in with a fast idle problem, it had less than 1000 miles. They adjusted the throttle position sensor to slow the idle, $50.00. I got to the hills and the second time I started it it idled so slow it wouldn t run. Took it back when I got home, adjusted the throttle position sensor again. Went to hills, idled so fast couldnt get it in gear. Took it back replaced the throttle position sensor, $121.00. Rode it less than 100 miles ran too fast again. This time they tell me it had been rolled over and caused the problem. No way, I am the only one who ever drives it. They tell me it needs a top end rebuild, $650.00. Ok go ahead a week later they call and tell me there is something wrong with the heads, cylinders, and TPS and it will be $2000, 00 and they need 1/2 before continuing. Well what choice did I have. It ran 200 miles and is doing the same thing. The machine started all this with less 1000 miles, this is absolutely a RIP OFF. I am going to take it to Morgan Valley Polaris in Morgan this time I have heard better reports about them. Triple S is not going to see me again in the service dept.. I do like the parts people but beware of the service. more

Terrible Customer Service 7/4/2011

Before triple sss polaris moved into their new building I took my Scrambler in to have some clutch springs changed out to try to make the scrambler climb a little better out at the Dunes. The Quad had a lot of performance work done to it but just wouldn't climb without the power dropping off as soon as you start the hill. I believe the Technician's name was Spanky. When he was done with the clutch he rode the bike and after the test ride he pulled up and said "" I believe this is probably the fastest scrambler I have ever rode"". So I was pretty happy about getting the work done right up until I was handed the bill, then I felt like I was being raped. However the reason for this review is this. So we go out to the lake and play on the polaris wave runners and lose a choke knob. Come home and the next day headed back out to willard bay, so we stop in to triple sss and purchase a new knob for 14 dollars and some change. A pretty good amount of money for a small choke knob, however its a recreational item so I get it, every thing is always over priced for recreation items always been that way no matter where you go I can live with that. So then I ask can we use a small phillips head screwdriver so I can put it on real quick rather than run all the way back home because I don't carry a phillips that small in the tool kit. Would only take me a half a minute to put this small screw in to hold the knob on right? The parts guy tells me NO you will have to pay the service guys to put it on because this is how they make their living and they will charge me at least a half hour labor for the job!!! Are you kidding me? Do you know how many craftsman screwdriver sets you can buy for a half hour of their labor rates for one tiny choke knob screw? Is this really how you want to treat your customers for real. Needless to say this is why I ride a Harley Davidson. Now don't get confused I didn't say Harley is the best But they always treat me with respect and are happy to see me when I'm in there. And if you need to use a small phillips for a half a min. to turn a tiny screw in they will be happy to help. And by the way Layton cycle's customer service is just as terrible as triple sss. I'm 49 years old and come from a time when businesses use to earn your business because they care and appreciated you coming in, unfortunately triple sss is doing to well to give you that kind of service anymore. more

These folks took good care of me 6/24/2008

Made the mistake of buying my Polaris from another dealer in Ogden. Needed last minute service before a weekend trip. Dealer from whom I purchase from was to busy to help me. I found Triple-s in the phone book and called. They said they could help me out. As soon as i walked in the door, I was greeted with smiling faces and asked how I could be helped. I was escorted to the service department and from there was taken care of. They even helped me unload my ATV. I would highly recomend to anyone that would expect great service more

Beware of Service Department 8/3/2007

Chad Fisher, the service manager is a great guy. However, their service department is ran with very little oversight and lacks technicians who take pride in their work. I took my Predator in to be serviced twice this summer. First I had just bought by ATV and was headed to the sand dunes in a few days so I took it Triple-S Polaris and asked them to remove the air box, put a clamp on K&N and clean and rebuild the carburetor. I also told them while they were in the Carburetor to put larger jets to compensate for the increased airflow. Well When I got to the sand dunes it was running poorly, it only a matter of 15 minutes later when the engine light came on and the engine over heated. I took it back to camp and tore off the carburetor (I figured they had leaned it out too much with the new jet) This is when I found out they had put a 42.5 jet in the place of the main jet. Now stock is 155 and with a pipe and intake it should be about 170 to 175. As I looked closer I found they had put the 175 in the pilot jet place. These incompetent technicians had placed the jets in the wrong screw holes and nearly burned up my motor. I took it back to Triple-S and they verify they had messed up. This is when Chad Fisher said ""Sorry"" Then I demanded that my money be returned for the faulty service and all they offered was wholesale pricing on Polaris merchandise. Then two months later I put a new front sprocket on the machine and had them take a link out of my chain. I delivered them the machine and they said they would have it done in an hour. Then finally two days later I get the machine back and they billed me $51.00 to remove the link. (I had this done on my Honda 300 at the same time and it cost me $22.00 at Newgate motor sports) Not to mention triple-s told me it would be $35.00 over the phone when I called to take it it. Basically...Good parts department, very knowledgeable and the sales staff are good. But the service department and their technicians are complete idiots. Pros: Good Parts Deparment Cons: Poor Serivce Department more
