Just ate at the Hammond restaurant. Had the mandarin chicken, it looked very, very unappetizing. the gravy was so thick it was very pasty. also had the tong cho seafood platter, the waitress told me it had scallops, guess what, no scallops, she thought calamari was scallops, she did not offer to remedy the plate. the fried shrimp was thick with a pancake consistency batter, once you tore off the batter the shrimp were very small, the batter made them look large. also very bland food. had lots left over because husband and i couldn't eat it and it was not worth taking home. i told our waitress that the hot tea tasted like hot water, it was a very large pitcher but had only two very small teabags. more

Trey Yuen Cuisine Of China is amazing! 11/4/2009

So far, the best Chinese restaurant in Hammond! The portions are wonderful and the koi in the pond are some of the biggest I've seen! I absolutely love going to this restaurant because I've yet to have a bad experience. The staff is all very friendly and treat you like old friends; even if you're getting take-out instead of eating in the restaurant! more

It's going downhill : ( 4/13/2009

I ate there with a co-worker on 02-02-08. As soon as we were shown to our table, I noticed thick dust and cob-webs on the recessed ceiling area. I didn't think much of it and passed it off as being late with the spring cleaning. The lunch menu had great variety. I ordered shrimp and green bean stir fry with rice. The waiter looked and acted like a college student. I could tell he wasn't into his job serving people. Pros: Used to be a great place Cons: They need to put money back into the business more

Squab 2/17/2009

My kids ate the squab here and loved it. They didn't realize what they were eating as they gobbled it up. Very nice ambiance and great food all around. more

Top Notch Chinese Dining Experience! 4/16/2008

Trey Yuen is a long time family favorite for Chinese food. Prices are very reasonable, portions are hearty, service is friendly and attentive, and the food is consistently top notch! When you walk into the restaurant, you feel like you've stepped into a Chinese world far away. Large coy in the ponds, water fountains, Chinese lanterns, dark wooded furniture with brass plates, and smiles on all of the employees faces. Everything on the menu that we've ever ordered has been fantastic. Best Chinese food in town! more
