Davis' local works of art 8/17/2005

This place is a great display of local art. The pieces are all available to be sold, and varies greatly. There's two rooms for your enjoyment, but they have every type of art imaginable that vary from large ceramic alligators to swirling glass paper holders to dishes that you just wanna go oOooo at and art that you can wear. There's so many different types of things here that you can be fairly entertained for a good hour at least. This place is ideally located near Fuji's sushi bar and Lily's, so you can always just drop in as you wait for your turn. more

The artery is a long standing Davis gallery. Their shows change regularly and there is always something interesting to look at. The art is a little pricey but they do sell some interesting pieces, most of the art they sell is leaning more towards arts and craft, and less fine arts. more

The Artery is one of the finest places in the region to buy gifts for all occasions. An artists' cooperative, it features decorative and functional ceramics, wood, glass, fiber arts, sculpture, paintings, drawings, prints, photography, and a wide selection of jewelry, all unique and handcrafted. Group and solo exhibitions in the adjoining gallery give participating artists a chance to grow and experiment with new ideas, keeping their work fresh and exciting. Exhibitions and store displays change every month. Hours are Mon-Thur 10-6, Friday 10-9PM, Sat. 10-6PM and Sunday 12-5PM. more
