Best in Class 10/30/2011

Excellent value, service, and amenities. Outstanding ambiance, views, area and location. It was as if it were tailored to fit my expectations. It easily qualifies for another star. Newer building. Valet (with in/out privileges) or self-parking (no in/out privileges) for around the same price. Several eateries within the resort. Beach just footsteps away from the hotel, with views of the Pacific Ocean. Totally convenient--allowed me to make the most out of the time I had available. You get your money's worth. more

Pure relaxation 5/9/2011

I was taken here over the weekend for Mother's Day. Absolute relaxation. From the greeters to the bellhop to the concierge, everything was perfect. I felt bathed in pampering delight. more

BEST STAFF EVER! 3/28/2008

Every time I go to Spa Gaucin, everyone treats me like a celebrity and i just love it... not only because i am not famous, but because they dont know if i have money or not, they just treat me sooo great! Coastal Stone massage is incredible! Pros: amazing customer service Cons: pricing more

Accommodations nice, service lacking. 4/25/2007

My review does not relate to hotel accommodations, but instead to the staff of this supposedly 4+ star hotel. Having conducted prior business with the hotel facilities and maintenance staff, I was dissappointed and amazed at the lack of business professionalism of this hotel department. Having done work for the department, then requesting and calling to confirm an appointment a day early, the department head simply didn't bother to call and cancel, but to allow me to show up and have his staff brush off the appointment as I stood with his subordinate. Obviously a bad image for a hotel of this stature(?), not to mention a high degree of unprofessionalism. A sad attitude for a hotel anxious to be great, yet only equal to the service level it provides. more

Stonehill Tavern was fabulous. Great eateries throughout the property. 3/12/2007

My hotel experience @ the St. Regis was a remarkable one. From entering the hotel and being greeted by a very genuine Resort Ambassador that made us feel very comfortable to be there and was very knowledgeable on what the hotel had to offer. He was also very excited for my friends and family to enjoy a dinner at the Monarch Bay Club and take in the beautiful sunsets we heard about. At times the service was alittle slow in the hotel lobby/bar area, but they were very busy too. Sunday brunch was second to none. It was fabulous. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. I also enjoyed the lunch at club 19 at the golf course. I will be back soon. One of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in. I would like to see there check in policy change to 1 or 2 o'clock. more

Too Expensive for level of service 3/17/2006

I found this hotel's rooms and spa far below my expectations. The staff people in the lounge area stood around talking to one another and left us for 15 minutes waiting on ordering our beverages and the spa lobby receptionist was on the phone (personal call) for what seemed like an eternity! Will not return; there are too many other great hotels around. Pros: expense, poor service more

Way too Pricey for service 3/10/2006

My husband and I stayed for two nights at St. Regis this last week and were disappointed by many things. The wait staff in the bar area stood around talking to one another instead of attending to us for some 15 minutes, the massage therapist in my VERY expensive massage seemed to have little expertise in the speciality massage she was giving me, and the prices for the rooms were way out of line when we saw the size and location. Would seems as though these editors were influenced by the fact that St. Regis DOES advertise on this service, even if the editors themselves were not paid. If you will notice, those feedbacks on editorial reviewed sites usually do not even make it into print...A person I know left a rather negative one on a reviewed site that did not even appear... Pros: Beauty Cons: Price, Quality of services more
