the fish was bland and boring & i had to douse half a bottle of hot sauce to be able to eat it. the dessert was worse than cheesecake factory's desserts (if comparable/applicable)...

Memorable Breakfast 7/30/2010

This is a great place to come when you have a little time for breakfast and want excellent pancakes/omelets/etc., especially as a family group. We've been here a few times -- usually three generations, ranging from 10 - 85 years old. We end up swapping around, since there's plenty of food and someone loves everything. I have to agree with other posters that the service is SLOW -- do everything before you would in a 'real' restaurant ... order juice and coffee when you first walk in, ask for your bill before you've finished your meal, and you'll be fine. Pros: Superb Food Cons: Indifferent Service more

Great Brunch Place 11/30/2009

My parents, cousin, and grandparents took me here for brunch last month. It was awesome. Even the fruit cup was good -- I ate my mom's. The coffee was also good -- I didn't have any, but afterwards we went to the art show in the gardens and they all had to go to the portapotties because they drank too much. (I should have asked THEM before we left the restaurant, ""Are you SURE that YOU don't need to go to the bathroom?"") Great pancakes (mine), omelets (dad and mom), and FRENCH TOAST (grandpa's that I ate). Pros: kid-friendly, delicious food Cons: uneven service more

Worst Service 7/30/2009

After returning some waffles with carbonized black chunks embedded in them I was charged for half the dish. There was also sewage gas smells wafting over the patio. The waiter was not only unfriendly but kept forgetting to bring items we asked for. What a shame. Pros: Location Cons: Poor Service and attitude more

Worst service anywhere 8/4/2008

Went on a Sunday afternoon and the service was appalling. I had a reservation, but it still took 20 minutes to be seated. Then 20 minutes to get drinks. The food was only mediocre but the price was on the high side. As the final touch, the server took 10 minutes returning my credit card so I couldn't even leave. Ridiculous. The worst place in Beverly Hills. Pros: quaint Cons: seafood, service, seating time more

over-rated 4/17/2008

the fish was bland and boring & i had to douse half a bottle of hot sauce to be able to eat it. the dessert was worse than cheesecake factory's desserts (if comparable/applicable) but the service was good & i liked their light & airy decor. it's over-priced & over-hyped by people for what it is. more

Great Upscale Breakfast Place with slighty long waits on Weekends / Good for Lunch and Dinner / Friendly Staff / Organic 3/26/2008

The breakfast crepes and their own versions of breakfast favorites (the huevos rancheros in particular) are excellent. The veggie burger is the best in town, hands down. Everything is organic on all menus, so the prices are slightly higher, but it is in Beverly Hills so what else would one expect. For lunch try any of the salads (I love the goat cheese with a chicken breast added). The calamari frites and the pistachio crusted chicken fingers are good starters. The menu is diverse and everyone who works there is friendly and helpful. They serve wine and beer and the lemonade/tropical iced tea mix is a sweet and sour delight. For desert, try the brownie, but be prepared for a rich chocolate treat. The breakfast wait can be long on weekends and the lunch wait on weekdays, but otherwise you can walk right in. They also do take out. One of my favorite restaurants in Los Angeles, and one of the few I go to for every meal. Pros: Great Food and Friendly Service - All Organic Cons: Parking can be hard. Try the SECOND public parking lot down the block on the restaurant side for free parking. more

Best Breakfast in LA!! 2/17/2008

My husband and I traveled to LA last weekend for the Grammys and at the Farm twice. The food was excellent! Very fresh food and good customer service. We highly recommend this restaurant! Pros: Great Coffee and loved the belgium waffle and blueberry pancakes! Cons: There's not a location in Atlanta! more

Farm has delicious dinners 7/2/2007

My girlfriend and I went to The Farm on Beverly this weekend and had a great time. I had the Farm steak, which was served with blue cheese and a delicious merlot wine sauce. The staff was friendly and it was not packed for a Saturday night. Try the ""smores"" dessert. You can make your own smores and they give you a little firepit to roast the marshmellow on! Really fun for a date. Pros: Not too busy, fun food more

I Love The Farm 4/5/2007

The Farm is great! I eat there all the time (mostly for breakfast or lunch)... I'm surprised there aren't better reviews... They are busy all the time, the food is awsome...it's huge portions and they have crazy gigantic fudgy brownies...sometimes the staff is busy, but it's not that bad. I used to drive from Sherman Oaks to Beverly Hills to eat there and now they opened another one at the new part of Topanga mall. It's cool looking and they validate the parking, but there's just something about Beverly Hills.....the brownies are sooooo good. Pros: huge fresh food & desserts - chocolate Cons: always busy more

LOOKS GOOD.......BUT THAT'S IT !!! 2/9/2007

i loved eating here. but last time i went for lunch was a very disappointing experience. The food took forever to come out of the kitchen !!! Service was slow and after food was served the waiter never came back to check up on us until we were ready to pay, how convenient !!!! Pros: i'm over this place Cons: pricey, slow service, dirty bathrooms more

The Famous $15 served cold veggie burger 1/9/2007

heard all about their $15veggie burger so had to try it. Waitress didn't care that the burger was served cold and said there's no reason to make a new one. We ordered 4 separate items which were brought in 3 stages. She brought our dessert with the food which was pointless. I decided to speak with the manager and was a little disappointed. I was told that the restaurant was doing very well and they can handle losing an unhappy customer once in a while. \r Restaurant was clean, great food options, but has very unpleasant staff. I like paying for expensive food, but it better be worth it !!! A very good attempt at copying The Cheesecake Factory, but not even close. I won't be going back. more

Mexi-Cali brunch 11/2/2006

Had a good brunch here. Their menu has a mexi influence which is a nice change from your typical brunch menu. Did have to wait and it was a little crowded and noisy - don't go for a peaceful brunch. more

Great food...yummy brownies 7/24/2006

Went for brunch after a flight from NY...food was great...Tuna salad yum...and the brownies were to die for! Bought some with us and they were still good when we got to San Diego later in the week! Pros: Price, food more

Great American fare 6/28/2006

If you're tired of eating the same-old at the Cheesecake Factory or one of its generic cousins, try the Farm. It serves all the American foods that Americans seem to love (hamburgers, fries) but with fresh ingredients and an upscale twist. more
