Good cakes 6/17/2010

You absolutely must go here. These are the best tasting, best looking cakes I have ever had. Cakes, cupcakes and cookies. Not too many samples though. more

The Cakery is Fantastic!! 7/27/2009

The Cakery has fantastic cakes and when you ask them to specially decorate for any occasion-your guests jaws drop!!!They are gorgeous!!! One drawback-they are a bit surly-they have all the business they need and they let you know that. more

Topped Off Our Wedding!! 1/14/2009

The Cakery made the most fantastic cake for our wedding. We were thrilled and the guests loved it. It was extremely reasonably priced (not like any of the bakeries suggested by our wedding site, by the way) and was absolutely gorgeous. I brought in a picture and they matched it.\r \r We were completely happy with our cake, and with Barry, who helped us the entire time. We have gone back since for other occasions and will continue to do so! more

THE BEST DESIGNS IN THE WORLD 2/26/2008

I Love the cakes.... They seem to be some of the most unique designs i have ever seen!!!! I will keep ordering from them.\r Thanks for such a great job more

WHAT'S NOT TO LIKE!!! 12/20/2006

The Cakery offers a WIDE range of food that is fitting for all occasions, whether it be a small birthday or a HUGE wedding. The desserts are simply to die for, and the pastries and cookies just add to the bonus. Overall, it is simply the BEST! and there is simply nothing quite as delectible as a Cakery dessert (or pastry). Much better then its neighbor down the steet (not mentioning any names). I do not know how to (in words) express how delectable everything is. Make sure you go there, or you will miss out..BIG! more

Yummy 9/27/2006

I love cakes and this was just outstanding. I recommend that everyone goes. It is wonderful. They treat their customers great and that is the main reason I keep coming back. PROS: Great customer service, good prices and wonderful food. CONS: more

Delicious but... 8/14/2006

After having tried the tiramisu cake, the mango/berry cake, and the princess cake, I must say that I do enjoy The Cakery's cakes. With soft, spongy layers and delicious berry-tart-jam-like-layers, I can't seem to get enough of them! Recently, I had the chance to try the Princess Cake which is basically (from bottom to top) a layer of cake, a thin layer of raspberry filling, another layer of cake, a layer of yogurt-y cream, a layer of cake and then a layer of cream. This is then covered with a lovely pale green shell made of almond marzipan. Yum! Definitely give it a try!\r \r Downside: Delicious cakes and pastries but a bit pricey! For such a small cake, it's going to take a nice bite out of your wallet. more

YUM! 2/22/2006

This is a family owned bakery, so you know you aren't just getting a cookie cutter cake. The staff is friendly. I did have a problem with a cake once - I ordered a picture cake for my mom's 60 birthday, but the only picture I could find with my brothers, my mom and I also had my dad (her ex-husband) in it. I left explicit instructions that my dad had to be cut out (he was on one side, so easily accomplished). When I went to pick it up on the day of the party, my brother was cut out and my dad, on the cake! They were apologetic and relatively quickly got us a new cake and on our way. They turned a situation that could have been really negative into a positive experience. more

Family Business 8/3/2005

This bakery is a family business that's been on the Avenue for years. They offer cookies, cupcakes, cakes, pies, tarts, and much more for reasonable prices. You're served by the owner and she's very sweet. She usually offers the kids a free sample such as a cookie. It's just those little gestures that make the Cakery a great example of customer satisfaction. They also serve hot and cold beverages and they have seats inside and out (kind of like the Copenhagen bakery that's nearby). more
