Pretty good 3/28/2006

I have yet to find the perfect Thai restaurant, but this one is pretty good. I was introduced to this place by a friend and have gone back quite a number of times, usually for the lunch special for about $5 (sadly, the ubiquitous Thai dish, Pad Thai noodles, is not on the lunch special menu; if you want it, you'll have to pay full price). You get either soup or salad, and your entree comes with rice and a vegetable egg roll. Their tom yum soup is really good and is very fragrant from the lemongrass. I also tried both the beef and chicken satay, but I would suggest getting just the beef (I didn't really like the chicken). The satay was a bit expensive though and not worth it (I think about $8 for 6 sticks). Overall, this is one of the better Thai restaurants in the San Gabriel area. more

Best Thai food in the area 11/29/2005

I eat here alot. This place is tops on my list for Thai in the area. Although it can get crowded on the weekends, it is worth the wait. The restaurant is traditional, nothing fancy, but the staff is great and really do a good job in serving you. Staff/ Waiters are dressed in traditional Thai. They also box your food for you unlike other places which leave the box/bag on the tables. For food, the stuffed chicken wings are awesome as is anything rice or noodle dish on the menu. I can go on and on. I'd adivse you to try it and see for yourself. What sets this place apart from all the others is they DELIVER. Not too many restaurants in the area deliver in the Alhambra area. Since this is one of them, they deserve extra for doing so. more

That is truely paradise 9/17/2005

It is a very famous Thai food restaurant in the city of San Gabriel. The price is affordable, especially for dinner. There are many Thai styled artifacts once you enter it. The place is quite clean despite of its use of carpet in restaurant. The waiters/waitresses are quite nice that they don't rush you for your order. If you want any Thai food, it is THE place to go. more

It truly is thai paradise 8/29/2005

This restaurant serves many different Thai dishes as well as the classics such as Tom Yum, Pad Thai, different curries, etc. Their lunch specials are served daily and the food is delicious. Located just on Las Tunas Drive, this restaurant has many statues and pictures that gives it a different atmosphere. I would really recommend the beef salad or the coconut ice cream. more

Thai Paradise Dessert! 8/28/2005

For a cheap price of $2.50, you can enjoy a big scoop of the traditional Thai Coconut Ice Cream. The ice cream consist of heavy cream, cocnut pieces, and a very odd ingredient of Corn. Yes that is correct, Corn in your ice cream. you might think it would taste weird, but in reality when you eat corn in a salad, it generally taste sweet. So since it is in the ice cream, you can also taste the sweetness in the ice cream. and the texture of the little chunks of corns makes the ice cream a adventure. I mean the scoop for 2.50 is way bigger than a 3.00 small scoop at cold stones. more

Thai Paradise Lunch Special! 8/28/2005

Recently, I got the chance to enjoy thai food with my girlfriend. We went to thai paradise and ordered their lunch specials. The price is decent for the food they give you. Their special is based at $4.95 and what is included is a Tom Yumm Chicken Soup or salad of choice. The food choices also comes with a variety of choices, some of them are pad thai, basil chicken, and a finger licking good red curry with chicken. For the price, the food is great. The flavor of the curry is also very good, in the beginning you will taste a aroma of coconut and then the spicyness kicks in. more

Thai...not so paradise 8/11/2005

When i first came here with my mother, the food was so delicious. I has seafood pad thai with beef and chicken satay. When I brought my entire family to coem and eat here, the food was a great disappointment. The fish was bland and way too expensive. I even found a hair (not from one's head either...) in my fried rice. That sealed the deal-- I'm not eating here again. A good thign was a free mini dessert afterwards. My advice, don't do a food overload here. Just order one or 2 items and stick with it! more
