Best spa in Marin! 1/22/2007

Beautiful decor, very serene ambience. I got there early and was served tea in their gorgeous tea garden which had a stream running through it...I could just feel my stress melting away. I had the Anti-Aging treatment and felt 10 years younger! Would definitely go again and highly recommend. Pros: Beautiful decor, great service more

Peaceful surroundings. Wonderful service 2/20/2005

one of the best experience I've had. We booked the couple suite for the aromatheraphy bath and the side by side massage and it was a very nice bonding experience for me and my date. The tea garden is very Zen and peaceful. The staff is very friendly. Although we were a bit unused to everyone being super friendly and talking in whispers at first. The complimentary tea was lovely too. Definitely a relaxing experience. I'll go back there often if I have the money! more

The Babor facial rocks! 1/19/2004

As a young 30-something with dozens of facials to her credit (or good fortune) this is one facial that changed my regime. Don't be turned-off by the Babor packaging or aromas -- both which skew "older" -- because after an amazingly thorough and unique facial experience, you'll be converted. At $100, it's slightly more expensive than other facials but definitely worth it. Their aryuveda services are also worth checking out. Pros: Unique, Professional, Hydrating & cleansing Cons: product prices more

Editorial
  • The Scene
Ascend a staircase, open an oversized wooden door and the scent of spices alerts your senses. The L-shaped reception room is bright with natural light. An assortment of cosmetics line one wall; at the opposite end, a middle-aged, female clientele (and their daughters) sit at round tables sipping complimentary tea, staring out picture windows. When it's time for treatments to begin, attendants lead clients over a rock-laden brook.

    The Services
Most treatment rooms are equipped with baths and stereos, muting outside noise. For those looking for a twist on massage standards, Tui Na (pronounced twee-nah) is the way to go. This ancient form of Chinese massage incorporates stretching and rocking motions that will hit pressure points and have you shuffling out limber as a limbo contestant.
