All reviews seem positive

it's ok 3/19/2011

the food is ok. the selection was somewhat limited compared to the newest asian buffet restaurant on SE 164th on the east side. the lighting inside makes the place look really old and could be changed to energy efficient lighting.\r if you are looking for value, then this is something you should try. but if you want to go into a place that has an upgraded look as well as great food. ( you will have to pay more) then the asian buffet restaurant on SE 164th is where you want to go. more

Best asian food in Vancouver 2/21/2009

I have tried all the Chineese restaurants in Vancouver, and this is the best. I actually live just a few blocks away from another very good Chinese buffet, but will drive the extra miles for this one. The food is always excellent, and the service is great. I love their hot and sour soup, and they have a great seafood salad. Actually, I have yet to try anything I haven't liked. I read another review that said Kings was better, but although I really like Kings, this place is just a notch above. Not for the neighborhood, or the decor, but for the food, which is why I'm there. The parking can be a problem in front of the restaurant during busy times such as lunch, but they have parking across the street, so don't let it stop you. Pros: Great Food! Great Service! Cons: Parking lot is small, but can use overflow lot across the street. more

Frseh, Consistent, Fast Courteous Service, VERY clean, Food is Tasty and HOT. 10/14/2008

The Titles says it ALL. Can't think of anything they need to improve. Oh, and the price is REDICULOUSLY CHEAP for what you get !\r \r Come HUNGRY and you'll think ya died and went to heaven ... ya'll leave smiling.\r \r Wear an elastic waistband. You'll be surrounded by what you'll look like if ya eat there too much :) more

best wonton soup in the area! The rest isn't bad either. 7/20/2008

Read all the reviews and tried it for ourselves. Been twice and both times we were welcomed warmly and made to feel comfortable. The food is freshly prepared, appealingly displayed and hot. The buffet area is kept well stocked and clean. We especially liked the won ton soup. The broth is superb and the won tons plump. The barbequed pork-char sui-is subtly flavored and very good. Our stacks of empty plates were whisked away quickly and quietly. Extra napkins were discretely supplied.\r \r Our friends who came with us for our second visit loved it. They have been to over 270 countries each and one said it was the best Chinese buffet she's ever had.\r \r Overall, there is a very friendly ambience that is genuine.\r \r We'll be back again and again. Pros: ambience, price, service, selection, food quality more

Yaaaawn...what's the big deal? 6/22/2008

I don't understand what is so special about this place. It's just another mediocrea Chinese buffet. The food tastes fine and is edible, but's it's not any better than anywhere else. Personally, I prefer the King's Buffet. It's in a nicer neighbrohood, has more selection, and slightly fresher food. Also, the crowd is more classy. Why this is voted the top 100 chinese restaurant...I don't know. Maybe there are only 100 chinese restaurants and it's #95? Who knows... more

Taste of Asia beats any teriyaki restaurants in all of Vancouver. 6/18/2008

I love teriyaki but trying to find not overcooked noodles, actual meat and fresh selection in the Vancouver area is slim pickings. I'd about given up until my husband found Taste of Asia. The food is fresh and well made, extremely tasty and most important, consistent! The service is refreshing friendly and aware of customers wants without having been asked. It's a definite ""Oh My Happy Tummy"" for us. We come hungry and leave happy and full every time! more

Great Asian buffet, excellent customer service 5/2/2008

Incomparable customer service. Buffet was fresh and plenty to choose from. Avoid going during noon time as the parking lot is small and it gets crowded at these times. Comfortable atmosphere. The restaurant is sparkling clean and the buffet is always well stocked and sanitary. There's a salad and fruit bar also. I can't say enough about this place. Awesome. Pros: Great food, great service, clean, comfortable atmosphere. Cons: Parking, lot's of municipal employee vehicles crowding parking lot at mid-day more

Above average Chinese Restaurant 9/20/2007

When it comes to dinning, i have a very high expectation. Though Taste of asia didn't meet my expectation, but it does pretty well with that price. Lunch at 6.75 Dinner 9.99\r \r I would say they can do a little better by providing better parking, nicer interior design. Pros: resonable price Cons: design, needs more on the salad bar more

One of my favorite places at Vancouver 8/14/2007

One of my favorite places at Vancouver. The food is wonderful and the service is no where near. . I wish i found this place earlier. Wonderful! 7/13/2007

I wish i can find Taste of asia earlier. I found this place because of the sign. When i walked in, this place does like any other chinese place i've been to. The service there is great, they exactly had a talked with me, answered all the questions i had, even though the lady who brings out food don't speak much english, but she smile to me. It made felt like home, then i learned it was a small family business. I think i will go to any other but taste of asia. \r \r For those who enjoys traditional chinese cooking, you've got to come here. Dishes that i recommand: General Tso Chicken, Garlic green beans, chicken skewer, Garden Fresh Salad rolls, salt & Pepper shrimp, curry beef, fried shrimp, shrimp and vegetable mix.... man, i think i like everthing there :) Pros: Family style dinning with professional attitude. Cons: Not enough parking more

A very good chinese buffet 7/5/2007

When i go to a restaurant, i check out three things; first, the bathroom; second, the servers; third, the food. Taste of Asia has passed all my expectations. A good restaurant to have in our neighborhood. Pros: Cleaness, Friendly service, low price Cons: parking is not enough during lunch hours more

Best Buffet in Vancouver area. Avoid on Friday night, long wait. 6/30/2007

My family has been a buffet eater for a while. We love asian style buffets; they are usually good price, and many varaities. We've been to coupon buffets in vancouver area, Canton, Kings buffet, China essence, and east garden. But no one can meet up with food and service that Taste Of Asia provide. From its clean dinning room, great food, and excellent service, Taste Of Asia should be the #1 buffet in our area. We love it!! Pros: Good food, Good Service, Clean Dinning room Cons: Parking Space more
