worst owners ever 12/17/2010

the food is ok but a little pricie. the small portions, along with the high prices is a turn off for me. the waitresses were very nice. although I hear that they work for mostly tips to add to their tip pool, and that the owner keeps 40% of what they earn. Isnt that illegal? more

New Owners much nicer! 11/23/2010

I've been here in the past about 2yrs ago, and wasn't impressed with the service I received, but since the new people took over I really like the place. I like the sushi, but I also like their hibachi and udong soup. Now I have lived in better cities where the fish is fresher, but what can you expect for fayetteville, compared to other sushi restaurants in this city, Sushi court is my favorite. The staff is very nice and the food is good, I love the soft shell crab tempura, volcano roll, and summer scent roll. I usually eat there at least once a week. Highly recommend this place for japanese food and sushi. more

Love it. 11/25/2008

My sister and I love this restaurant. We stumbled upon it about 2 months ago and have been going there with increasing frequency. The service is very good and it not often ""busy"". We have repeatedly ordered the sushi platter for two and are never disappointed. The eel nigiri is very very good. I highly recommend this place, in fact, I am headed there now! Pros: Seated Immediately, Quiet Environment, Good Food Cons: Small Restaurant more

Bad sushi ever 3/13/2008

I went to this restaurant 6 months ago and the sushi was excellent, but recently I returned and it was a completely new set of people and the sushi was terrible. The portions miniscule at best the taste was substandard and the sashimi was way to thin. Once I ordered salmon cream cheese roll but there was no cheese. What was that about? My child ordered the hibachi shrimp dinner and it was just dripping with grease. The waitress and chef were speaking in KOREAN loudly the entire time. I felt this was inappropriate for what was supposed to be a Japanese restaurant. For all it's faults to top it all off it seemed drastically over priced. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Pros: away from the main restaurants Cons: everything else more

Bad Sushi 11/15/2007

I do not recommend the Sushi Court. I have been to many sushi restauraunts across the country, probably at least 20 and the Sushi court was definately the worst of all of them. The service was ok not great, but that is not much of a concern to me as that of the quality of the sushi, although it does play a contributing factor. I ordered an assortment of nigri (fish on top of rice) and was very dissapointed when my sushi arrived at the table. The fish on top of the rice was paper thin, maybe a little exeragerated but pretty darn close. The nigri had about 1/3 the amount of fish that you would find in an average sushi restauraunt, not a great one. The atmosphere of the restauraunt was quite lacking, seemed a little run down if you ask me. The sushi Chef never said one word, at most sushi restauraunts you get greated by the sushi chef when you walk in and a thank you when you leave. Another thing I noticed as I observed the sushi chef was he kept looking behind him at the posters on the wall with the different types of sushi and their menu, as if he didn't know what he was doing. It was a little disconcerning to me. My wife ordered the tempura and it was not that great either. Also, when I arrived at the restauraunt there was only one other customer there and it still took around 15 to 20 minutes to get my sushi. This place was definately not what I had expected after reading some of the reviews on several different sites. The people who raved about this place must have some connection to the owner or have never had good sushi. If you like good sushi this place is not for you. There are far better places to get sushi in fayetteville. more

Best Sushi in Fayetteville 5/17/2005

Service is wonderful, but not always fast. Great Staff and excellent Sushi Chef. Great place to eat! The fish is the freshest I have tasted in this town. Although it is not the cheapest place in town, you can definitely taste the difference. I find it well worth the money. You can usually get a table pretty fast if not immediately. The restaurant is conveniently located near the movie theater. Makes for a great casual dinner and a movie night. more
