great vibe 7/22/2008

I currently visited Sullivan?s for the first time and I was very impressed. Sullivan?s was just what I was looking for. They offer great food, and a wonderful wine selection. Must importantly the service was excellent. Our server was professional but still very personable. After our incredible dinner we decided to have a nightcap in the bar. It was happening. The place was packed. They had a jazz band and everyone was having a good. It was a great vibe, something that I think lacks in most places these days. I will diffently be back. more

Perfect Anniversary 3/19/2008

My boyfriend planned the perfect anniversary for us. He told me to dress up to go wine and dine. He took me to Sullivan's where the service was personable, the food excellent, and the crowd alive. It was a perfect night Pros: service, atmosphere, food, parking Cons: Ate too much more

Good Service, Great Food, Nice Place 1/17/2008

I went to Sullivan?s with a group of 6 and it was one of the best meals that I have eaten out. I ate the filet and lobster tail and it was cooked perfect. The filet was juicy and tender and the lobster was so good dipped in the drawn butter. I also had their salad with the blue cheese dressing. Their dressing had big blue cheese chunks Mmmm good. I would highly recommend this for any special occasion or for just a good meal. Pros: Great Food more

Great Steak....ok everything else 11/28/2005

We had a reservation for 7pm....they didn't seat us until 7:30. The menu seemed kind of limited and the appetizers were blah. The main course came a bit late but the steak (a porterhouse) was fantastic...one of the best I've had. It's not the most romantic place around, it's very bright, very open, and very noisy. Abominal Dining Experience 11/28/2005

I went to Sullivan's for a holiday dinner. We were seated hours after our reservation. I ordered surf and turf and the lobster came our partially frozen. Many menu items were not available. Was Not What I Expected. 11/28/2005

My father took me to the Sullivan's in KoP for a birthday lunch. I had heard so many good things, so my hopes were high. I was completely disappointed. The service was ok it was the servers first lunch so I understand . It was not busy at all, which confuses me as to why it took an hour just to get our lunches. Which we had to eat very quickly bc my lunch hour was already over. The appetizer was wonderful.. My fathers fish was undercooked, and my steak was over-cooked, med. well, when I requisted medium rare. I would return bc the restuant is absolutely beautiful, and in hopes that it is better the second time around. BUT, as of that visit, I prefer going to the Lonestar up the street, which owns Sullivans. They have the same steaks as Sullivans, but for a better price. A++ 8/14/2005

Last night was my first trip to Sullivan's and my boyfriend and I LOVED it. We didn't have reservations when we arrived at 8:30 p.m. so we had drinks at the bar where we enjoyed a variey of summer martinis surrounded by dark wood, perfect lighting and nice jazz/piano music. After about 30 minutes were seated and dinner was amazing! My filet was perfection and their horseraddish mashed potatos are worth the trip! My guy - who is very paticular about his meat (most men are, right) was just as satistfied. I highly reccommend Sullivan's. Woah 3/5/2005

Maybe it was an off night but it was way off! We had a reservation for 8:30pm and we were not seated until after 9:30pm. We ordered the famous mashed potatoes and they ran out. How does a steak house run out of mashed potatoes? I ordered a 12oz filet medium as did my friend and it was charred on the outside. I hope that you have a better experience than I did. I tend to lead a vegeterian lifestyle as I hate to handle meat, but occasionally i thoroughly enjoy a nite out at a steakhouse and this place really did it for me! Embarrassing Evening 5/7/2004

We took a business associate from Paris here last night. They didn't have a table ready for our reservation then took us to a table where people were sitting. Then the hostess just left us standing there until a manger asked us if we were okay (we were discussing leaving and going to different restaurant). Our waitress kept talking about the ""Friends"" finale and was very immature and silly. All the waitresses had on very short skirts with fishnet stockings (fine for a strip club but not a business dinner with mixed company). It was too loud to talk across the table to one another. Our wine wasn't refilled, they brought each appetizer seperately and then brought 2 entrees together and brought the 3rd 5 mintues later with the sides. Run to Sullivan's. 3/7/2004

I went to Sullivan's for my first time over this weekend. I cannot tell you how much I love this place. From the moment I pulled up to receiving my coats, the ENTIRE staff was very welcoming. The food WOW. It was so tasty, so incredible. The timing on bringing each appetizer, entree, etc to our table was perfect. What a great, no rush meal. Go and have a great time.... Pros: Comp. Date night 3/3/2004

My wife and I had a taste for a steak, but wanted to try someplace new, so we checked out SULLIVANS. We found it to be a quaint place for dinner, the staff was extremely nice and attentative to us. We both ordered steak, which i am sorry to say after eating at Mortons, Capitol Grill, and Ruth Chris. This place fell way short, my wife and I agree we have eaten better steaks, and side dishes @ those other resturaunts. The steaks at OUTBACK had more flavor and bigger portions for half the price. Do yourself a favor, if you crave a good steak for the money, pass on Sullivans. Pros: parking, staff, seated promptly Cons: , value more

Sullivan's:Great Food with Great Service 2/8/2004

I have had dinner at Sullivan's several times. Sometimes with reservations and sometimes without...and always on a Fri or Sat night. Rarely have i had to wait...and if i did...it was not long. This is a popular place for a REASON...therefore it is busy, vivacious, and a fun place for people of all ages. I am 30 years of age and have dined with my parents, friends, and teenage relatives. I have always been welcomed warmly and have had nothing but excellent service and food every time. Ive dined in shorts and t-shirt, and in a suit. I was treated the same each time...especially by the manager. By the way, my 6 yo nephew ordered a cheeseburger and fries which are not on the menu. Definitely recommend for everybody and anybody!! Overall, I was pleased with just about everything at Sullivan's. Unfortunately, I am a big fan of Prime Rib, especially at a steakhouse. Poor Service, Poor Food 7/25/2003

This was the worst restaurant my family and I had ever graced. The food was either undercooked or overcooked, despite specific instructions. And the service was worse. When pointing out the errors, the hostess/waitress refused to take items back and re-do. Management wasn't much more helpful. Very arrogant people, no contrition or apologies over poor food or service. Seemed affronted that we brought two teenagers. WILL ALWAYS RECOMMEND THAT PEOPLE AVOID THIS RESTAURANT. Perfect 5/15/2003

We frequently dine out and comparing Ruths Chris Morton's and Sullivan's is no comparison... Sullivans stands well above the others in terms of quality of food, service and value. Great bar scene (or not, if you don't like attorneys), intimate dining area available (the Library). Alot of hustle and bustle on the floor. Lots of fun.
