First off I need to explain..IM PICKY! I have been to other salons and have always left unhappy because I didnt get what I asked for. Pros: Talented and friendly! Cons: none here more

I love this salon. I drive all the way from New Jersey and have done so for years! It is a gem: a Manhattan salon in Queens w/o Manhattan prices. Friendly, talented stylists, a superb colorist and everyone is up on the latest trends. The jewelry is an added bonus. Pros: talent, professionalism more

Started going here about 2 years ago with very damaged hair. Now, you would never know it!! They have since fixed my mess and actually know what they are doing. Other salons in Queens are very simple and give you the basics, but not here!! Sudio Z has great service and professionalizim. The atmosphere is relaxing. Victoria one of the colorists is fantastic and Christine with her talent and knowledge of extensions is unbelievable. I get a tremendous amount of compliments on my hair. Stephanie always greets you with a smile and always answers any questions on the phone you may have. Last but not least, my blowout girl Lena, she is a doll, enjoys doing hair and it shows. After nine years with Alex on Union Tpke and 4 other stylists in 9 months since, I stumbled onto Lori by a fluke because her sister was backed up and she offered to cut my hair and you know what, she did a wonderful job! She is the female version of my beloved Alex and therefore, I have stopped looking for a stylist! She is joyful, precise and knows how to style a haircut according to my face and is as artsy as I loved with Alex. I know that I will be able to sit in her chair and maybe just direct her as to the length I want and she will keep my cuts fresh and up to date and keep the compliments coming once again! Oh, and Stephanie, the salon receptionist, she is the best and knows her stuff! I drilled her when I first called and she told me to see either Christine or Lori and wow!, was she right on target! I am not a big salon person. My last haircut was six months ago. My friend tried Studio Z and raved about Lori who ended up styling her hair by chance (she had an appointment with another stylist who was busy). I decided to give in and go to Lori for a haircut. Boy, was I glad that I ever did. This was a great experience. I felt comfortable there and Lori gave me a great haircut. I will definitely be going back to Lori. Pros: Parking lot more

I have been going to StudioZ for over 10 years. It has always been a welcoming, friendly and professional salon. All of the ""clients"" are treated with respect and are made to feel very comfortable. In all of my visits, I have never seen an unhappy customer. Christine makes sure that only the best service is extended to each person who walks through the door. My new gloss coloring and cut is once again beyond expectations. I have always recommended StudioZ to anyone with any type of hair needs. I never have to worry about having hair that is too thick. I have seen straight, thin, curly hair transformed during my visits. I could never consider any other salon. We are lucky to have such a full service salon in Bayside. When my husband came home and reacted like he did, I thought that hair extension are an amazing thing. The big test came when I woke up the next morning expecting that I would have to wash my hair like I had to every morniing. To my amazement, my hair looked amazing and all it needed was a few stroke of the brush. Thank God for studio Z! I got a horrible body wave at Christie's Salon and after they refused to fix it, I was left stranded with terrible hair and no idea where to go. After a friend suggested Studio Z, I went in to see what they could do. They spent so much time with me, thrying to figure out what would be the best for my hair. I felt like the whole staff truly cared about how my hair turned out, they even took the time to teach me how to do my new hair style, and I left happy and truly grateful. I decided to go back to Studio Z after a visit last year for hair & makeup for a friend's wedding that was fantastic. I was not dissapointed. Victoria did an amazing job on my color, it's healthy & my highlights look so natural. After the color, I got a great cut from Christine and she added a few extensions to my already long hair to fill in some of the shorter layers in the front that I have been trying to grow out. I did not feel rushed in any way, the staff really took the time to find out what I wanted. I'm thrilled with my new look and will definitely be back again soon! more

I was very nervous to go to a new salon but was looking for a change in stylist and my hair. I received a haircut from Tatiana and a few days later saw Victoria for a change in color. My hair has NEVER looked so good, the color is completely natural... I was truly speechless when I left. I was so excited and it was like a makeover.. not just a color change. The price was very reasonable for the results- and I don't have to go back any time too soon. Can't wait to go back ! LOVE MY HAIR!! more

For the past year and a half I've been going to Studio Z for my hair cut, but after this, I don't know if I'll be going back. Tatiana has always done an excellent job for the entire time I've been going there. Her attention to detail is meticulous and she always made sure I was looking like a million bucks before I got out of the chair. But to my surprise, when I came in not to long ago, I was told that she no longer works there. They offered me a discounted price to get my hair cut by someone else. I reluctantly accepted and ended up regretting it dearly. I felt uncomfortable as I was getting my hair cut and I was VERY unhappy with the result. The salon appeared to be understaffed, I got my hair cut by a girl who used to shampoo me and she didn't seem too confident in what she was doing, which made me nervous. My family usually comments on how great my hair looks. But when I attended a family function that night, nobody said a word about my hair yet I could feel everyone's eyes gazing at my hair. Let me tell you... my hair looked worse then a 15$ cut from Supercuts. They lured me into getting my hair cut by a shampoo girl and thought that I wouldn't notice the drastic difference. I am very disappointed that Tatiana is not working there anymore. It seems that Studio Z has lost their best stylist. My hair misses you Tatiana! Where are you? Pros: Parking lot close by. Problem with Studio Z is that I visited the salon *several* times over the course of a year--but yet, they still could not seem to remember my name, my color, or the fact that I'm a phenomenal tipper. I tip the woman who washes my hair, the woman who cuts my hair & the colorist! What more could a repeat customer do, to get noteworthy service, right? I came in looking for a new look. I ended up looking exactly the same with a slight color change. They talked their way into doing what it is they want and completely disregard what I came in for. The place is nice, but my colorist CC did not understand what I was looking for and did what she thought was best. When I told her what I wanted she just blatantly said she didn't like it. And by the way this place is way over priced. I paid over 250 to look exactly the same. They are very pushy and told me over 6 times to post a positive review on Citysearch. This place is overrated and the work is not worth the price. I am so dissapointed!!! Pros: Parking Cons: Very high prices/ Unattentive to what you want more
