We went for a late lunch on Christmas Eve (you know, a traditional Jewish Christmas) and nearly had the place to ourselves. The waiters were attentive, the drinks (I had a Sake-tini, my wife had a girly cocktail) were good, though a bit pricey. We started with an Indian-inspired bread and curryish dipping sauce that was good, albeit a little bland. For my entree, I had an Origami Seabass that was really good with Coconut Rice. Neither my wife nor I like coconut, but the rice is sweet and sticky and good. My wife had Garlic Noodles with Chicken, which was interesting in the old world/new world pairing of Asian flavors with basil and tomatoes and pepper. I'd heard people rave about Straits and I'd definitely go back with a crowd, but it wasn't as good as I expected.
