St Cyr Salon & Spa

I have no idea why this place was actually given some good reviews and 5 stars? Trust the bad reviews and please ignore Tinaday32475. This place is horrible! The receptionists are complete idiots and very rude. Especially Gloria. They talk down to customers and just sit behind the desk and giggle like little immature high school students! Went there 3 times and saw three different hair stylists that had varying levels of experience. Not one hair sylist accomplished the color I wanted. Each time I left there my hair became very brassy within 2-3 weeks (and this was after paying a ton for a toner each time)! I had enough and stopped going. I guess I tried to give this place a shot and made the mistake of listening to the idiot receptionists trying to tell me they would make it right. Well.... they didn't. They lie on their website and show that stylists have so many years of experience. For example, they claim that a 30 year old hair stylist has 15 years experience! What did the idiot go to school at 15?The place is also a la carte. When you walk out of there, you end up dropping well over 200.00. They don't tell you what the cost is going to be until after the fact and they can't keep their staff. Every time I walk in they have a new, teeny little street walker looking girls who are dressed very provocatively. If you want some moron girl who is not experienced, younger than you or the same age, and can't comprehend a customers directions, then by all means go to this horrible place. This place consistently makes mistakes and does not listen to their customers! The management is obviously very poor, does not care about customer service ratings, and just cares about sitting back and raking in the money! Believe me......this place is a huge rip off!!!!! more

I went to this salon to get a bikini wax. The receptionist was exceptionally rude. She was not in the least bit pleasant and was VERY condescending. However, Liz the esthetician was amazing. She was super friendly and professional. She made my experience very comfortable. St. Cyr was supposed to be having a $10 discount on waxing for first time customers during the time of my visit. But I was still charged full price. Overall, I do not think I will be returning to this salon. It's a shame that a place with such lovely facilities and great staff also employees such disagreeable individuals. more

I thought you were supposed to keep good help, not shove them out the door! What type of business hires people to bring their business up just to fire them when they've done their job? This place is like the revolving door!!!! John is gone and I heard because he was too good? I had to search high and low but found him at anotherV place. Got a great cut here and was excited about a new salon. The color was a bit brassy though and they told me to wait to see if I got 'used to it' still didn't like it so I called back about 3 weeks later to see if I could make a follow up apt to change it. Got major attitude about how they couldn't do anything because it was over 14 days - um, I *was* willing to pay, but in addition you told me to wait. But because I have heard reception here tends to be rude, I asked for the manager, explained the whole thing and that I wanted to just correct the color and got a lecture. Seriously? I can get 'tude for free ladies. Too bad since the stylist was good but I will never set foot in there again. And I fixed the issue myself for $7 thanks to the gold old boxed stuff. i went to this so called "premire" salon and spa and all i got was a head ache!!! the receptionist were so rude to me when i was making the appointment! i dont care if you are busy or just sitting there its you job to be nice and acomadating!then when i got there not only did i get attitude from them but the clothes they were wearing was very inappropriate!!! they looked like they belonged in a club not a place of work. the massage was the only good thing i got from st.cyr and the poor massage therapist vanessa has to deal with rude people booking her schedule! i left after getting a horrible haircut from one of there "experienced" stylists. when i told them i was unhappy they just said to call in a couple days!?! that is not a way to make customers happy! i ended up going somewhere else that i didnt have to pay as much and did a way better job!thanks for nothing Cons: everything i wouldnt even give them a star!! more

Being new to the Worcester area, I found StCyrs website and felt the site had the class and professionalism I wanted to try. I called and asked a lot of questions before making my appointment with one of their top level hair stylists. I found the negative reviews about the front desk unfounded, but then again they are busy girls. They have 3-4 customers in front of them at all times, purchasing products and making appointments, they are busy and multitasking, But then again, they weren't cutting my hair. I loved my haircut and went back for a hot stone massage for my feet. Loved that too!!!! Thanks St Cyr for a day of pampering. I love St Cyr!! They gave me a discount for being a student and I got 5 bucks off my first time..My friend Ashley alwaysss goes there for eyebrow waxing..She loves it too..Its close to my school and easy to get to..I want to get my hair cut there and they said it would be about 25 dollars..plus my discount..pretty cheap for worcester...I've never had a problem with the front desk people or anyone else there . I went to St. Cyr Salon & Spa twice. The first time I went was for the spa: to get a full body massage, facial, mani and pedi. The service was exceptional and the ladies there were all very professional and skilled. The second time was for a haircut. I was in and out in 10 minutes max. I wasn't very happy with the haircut and I felt like I would have gotten the same result should I have done it myself. The receptionists need some customer service trainings because they were not very friendly at all to name one. I moved to Worcester recently and was looking around for a good hair salon. I did a city search in here and found the reviews pretty good. So I made an appointment for 2 days later, didn't have a problem getting an appointment luckily. I went to the salon, it has a great ambiance and the gals were great. I was very comfy being a first times. My hair dresser was Nicholette, she was amazing. I just told her I need a change and asked her for suggestions. She was so good, she told me all the little tips for hair care etc. I just felt so good for those 45 mins. I love my hair style now. I'm so glad that I found a good hair dresser in Worcester. I'll be checking out the spa sometime soon and let you guys know. I would definitely recommend this salon for any first times or anyone who wants to chkout a new place. I had a 10$ off coupon from this site and they gladly accepted it. Great place to be in. Forgot to mention......my hair cut was just 30 bucks with 10 bucks off. I absolutely adore St. Cyr, I have been seeing my stylist Renee for almost two years now and she is Amazing! She is so talented, but her prices are not outrageous like many other salons in this area. She's also really sweet and tries to accomodate me even when I'm running a couple minutes late! I have had some other experiences at St. Cyr- They have single pedicure and manicure rooms, and those are also to die for. I highly reccomend the pampering pedicure, it's a little more expensive but completely worth it! All and all I would definitely go to St. Cyr for a quality service and a pleasant experience. I recently had a full day of services as a gift from my boyfriend and I was totally impressed. The staff was polite and knowledgeable and they use great products. They carry Dermalogica Skin Care and Bare Escentuals Makeup and they have Bumble and Bumble!. My facial was excellent and relaxing as was my massage with Marlena, she was great! I am a LONG TIME customer at St. Cyr and I find these reviews to be absurd.. I would absolutely recommend St. Cyr to any one of my friends or family members, and I can honestly say that the receptionists have NEVER been rude to me. At the salon I used to go to (another high end salon in Worcester), the receptionists were EXTREMELY rude and POMPOUS. St. Cyr was refreshing because the receptionists were so down to earth and sweet . Overall, my experiences at St. Cyr have been nothing short of luxurious and pleasant. I have never experienced ANY of the negative things other women are claiming to report. My only suggestion to prospective clients- do not listen to the anonymous claims of supposed customers who can't even reveal their identity- but try St. Cyr for yourself and find that the experience is 100% positive. I have been going to St. Cyr for a while now and I have to say the receptionists are the rudest!! Whenever I call, I feel very uncomfortable because they are so rude. The only plus with them is you get a call the day before to remind you of your appt. If it wasn't for the girls in the spa area, I WOULD NEVER GO BACK!! Whenever you pay they get aggrevated that you are there, then they give you the you have a lot of nerve expecting me to book another appointment for you.l TO THE OWNERS/MANAGEMENT: Send these miserable pretty girls to personality school.....teach them how to respect the customers. St. Cyr's Salon has lovely, talented stylists that work in the BACK. The receptionists out FRONT however are the pits! They are consistantly rude and condescending. They act like they are doing me a big favor by speaking to me. I love my stylist Ashley! I have been going to St Cyr for over three years now, and I have CONSTANTLY received excellent service, both from the stylists and the receptionists. They even call the day before your appointment to remind you to come, which my old salon neglected to do. I am always happy with my hair, I love the color and the cut, along with the affordable prices. Compared to other salons in the area, St Cyr is the best I have found with both reasonable price and exceptional service. I have recommended St Cyr to several of my girlfriends, and they have had similar experiences. The stylists are nice, but the receptionist are very unprofessional, in attire and attitude, and are VERY RUDE. I really noticed at my last visit, I had the receptionists give me dirty looks, answer my questions rude, short, and as if I was dumb. I am a professinal engineer, and if I spend good money I expect the receptionist to be cordial. When my friend tried to use their coupon for $5.00 off first visit, the receptionist gave him the third degree as to who reffered him. Saying it was a referral program, but it clearly says "first visit" i knew he would have a hard time, because my first time their I also tried to use the coupon, and by their look on thier face, i could tell they did not want to accept it. (they display it on their table) They also did the same for my sister. My sister had another bad experience when she wanted a new hair cut and color, the first hairdresser was rude, so she decided to switch hairdressers, (200+ for the quote), well when she did this the receptionist gave her a hard time, and would not give her another appointment until she made an appointment to get a consultation from anther hairdresser! They made it so difficult and talked to her like she was 10, that my sister just went somewhere else. It was not some Picasso art or anything, it was just highlights and cut!!! I also noticed other people in the waiting room were getting the same treatment, this really opened my eyes. Oh, I also had a manacure there and it was horrble, they put us in a small room, I had no room to even move my elbows, other people kept comming in and out it was a big waste of money. I have experimented with different stylists and colorists in Worcester and around the area and when a friend recommended me to Siyan, I never thought that I would have established a regular relationship with a stylist/colorist. I now refer to Siyan as "my stylist and colorist." I haven't been diligent about scheduled cuts and color in the past and Siyan convinced me that it's so important to be on a schedule. My hair color and cut has never looked better. It's natural and the perfect color blond for me, and the cut really compliments my face shape and the color. Never have I received so many compliments before. But now, I have literally had people stop me in the street on more than one occasion and ask, "Who does your hair?" And It's of course my true artist "Siyan." I recomend her to everyone I know and to everyone who has never felt stunning after the salon visit. I am a professional who wanted to go and have a relaxing pedicure, hair style and massage. I booked an appointment over the phone. Upon my arrival, the receptionists were dressed inappropriately, rude, and unprofessional. I had to wait for over an hour for my appointment. I helped myself to some stale coffee, and stale cookies. As I was waiting, another customer, who also seemed annoyed, told me that there are new receptionists every time she comes. I assume that there is poor management since they have such a revolving door of employment. Finally, I got my pedicure and it was horrible. I've gotten better pedicures at the mall for half the price. I couldnt get a massage because the girl who was supposed to do it was out sick. I work at a local school and it is a shame because I could have recommended so many women, but I only have bad things to say. I would never go back again. My hairstyle was poor and the hairstylist was also dressed like a street worker. Not very friendly at all!
