Hard rock ABS! 7/26/2011

I stumbled upon this find with a local school auction win; I had always wanted to try Pilates. In a short series of classes, I felt a noticeable change! With a few more classes, I felt sleeker in my over-40 body! I was amazed at how much fun I was having too! Trisha and Jesse worked me hard while making me smile and laugh as the hour passed. I find myself missing the camaraderie almost as much as the expert instruction. Pilates takes mental energy and the descriptive approaches given and encouragement along the way are best in class! Thank you to Cassidy and her tremendous staff! TRY THEM OUT! more

The worst manicure and pedicure 1/8/2011

I recently had a mani and pedi from a nail tech named Michelle and the experience was horrible. My visit was supposed to be relaxing---not at all what I had experienced. Michelle kept on chatting about her personal life and by the time I left, I felt more tensed than relax. Don't recommend this spa to anyone!!!! The worst spa I have ever been too!!!! more

nice decor, but service is just ok 11/9/2010

The decor in this spa looks very luxurious, despite being smaller than many other full-service spas. Parking is by valet, which makes it seem even fancier (although you can park down the block at the mall for free). The vibe inside, however, wasn't very "zen." I felt the service was mediocre. The actual spa treatment was good (I got the South Pacific Creme Body Polish with Coconut Milk Bath Infused with Passionflower). The polish left my skin very smooth, but it was kind of awkward washing it off in this tiny tiny shower within the treatment room. The lotion at the end was applied by massage, which was heavenly. Before any of that started, the appointment process took a long time because the girl on the phone thought there were times available when there weren't so we had a lot of back-and-forth. When I got to the spa, nobody offered to show me around - you even have to get your own robes and slippers from the piles. The guy who did my treatment talked a lot during it, which make it much less relaxing. I also lost an earring while I was there; I called about it the next day, but the person did not seem very concerned. I even told her the specific treatment room I had been in, so they could check, but I never heard back. more

Terrible Experience` 7/2/2010

I wish there was an option to rate ""0""... My husband booked a massage for the both of us as a special treat for me. When we arrived at the Spa, the girl at the front counter asked if we had been guests there before. My husband said yes and I said it was my first time. The girl didn't even walk me around to show me where everything was. She just pointed and said, ""the women's area is back there and to the right."" So I wandered back and found my way to a locker and got my own robe and slippers. Then I asked another spa guest where everything was located. Luckily she was very nice and helped me. Our massages were scheduled at 12:00 and I made my way to the waiting area at 11:45am. Time went ticking by and still no one came for my massage and none of the staff came to update me. By 12:20, I had to ask about the delay. The gal who was stocking the towels went to the front desk. A few minutes later, the manager shows up and says she apologized, but the masseuse didn't show up and they had no one to massage me today. She offered me a facial, but I explained my husband and I were heading out somewhere directly afterwards and I didn't bring my make up (since I wasn't there for a facial in the first place...duh!). I asked if my husband was getting a massage and she replied, ""Oh yes, he started his session at 11:55."" I was not upset that a masseuse didn't show up (sh*t happens), I was upset over the lack of communication and customer service from all levels of staff. You pay good money to have a special day and, at the very least, you expect SOME customer service. So I ended up getting dressed and asking the girls at the front desk if I could let my husband know they could not give me a massage. The girl replied that they did not interrupt sessions, except in emergencies. She offered to pass a note to the massage therapist right away so she could give it to my husband. Long story short, the girl at the counter never even gave the note to the therapist. She gave my husband the note after he was finished with his massage, so she lied. My husband had no idea what was going on. When my husband explained it was supposed to be a special day for me, the manager changed her story and said that they could give me a massage right then (she lied, too - do you notice a theme here?). Too late, as I was already dressed and waiting in the car. So my recommendation is to stay away from this place unless you want poor customer service all around. For the price of services, I also expected more from the facility itself - it is very small and basic. It's very unfortunate that I didn't read the reviews before going here. I agree with other reviewers who say the customer service is disappointing. The Spa & Fitness Club made a terrible day for me and my husband when it was supposed to be a special one Cons: Rude staff, awful customer service more

Can't wait fo rmy next visit 12/19/2009

I have a very stressful job and if it was not for lead therapist) I would be full of knots. :) She is great. When I lived in San Diego, I had a massage therapist and I miss her greatly when I moved to the Los Angeles Area. I am so glad that I have found her. She is great. If you are an athelete, need stress reduction or need a one day get a way it is worth the price and worth the time. Spa Girl. :) more

Another world! 12/2/2009

This spa is like entering another world.....or better yet, another universe! You could seriously get lost in this place and it's tranquility. It's on the more expensive side, but worth it if you want a true "getaway" and a place with a lot of amenities! I've been there twice now and the first time I had a deep tissue massage and for the second I had an aromatherapy wrap and body massage. The staff was wonderful, professional, and made me feel completely comfortable both times I was there. I would highly recommend this spa! :) more

Great Restaurant Fantastic Sushi 4/25/2008

This beautiful spa has FANTASTIC FOOD! I'll be back even if I don't have time for a service. The massages are pretty fantastic too, but Carolyn is the best facialist in town Pros: Facials, Sushi, Massage more

Great Massage, nice people 4/25/2008

I do alot of traveling, and I have to say, these people are just nice. Not exactly a resort spa, but it is far above and beyond what you would expect from a day spa or anything else in the area. more

Amazing Place!!! 4/13/2008

I am recommending and absoultly going back and with my mom and sister. This was my 1st Hot Stone Therapy expericence and let me tell you ....you must try this! It was an incrediable 75minutes of pure bliss. It was as if all my cares had melted away. With perfect pressure she rubbed and geled my muscles and feet with hot stones and even put little tiny ones in between my toes. I felt completly grounded, in the end she had to wake me up. My therapist was so caring and attentive. I was deeply impressed with Victoria, who came highly recomended by the Spa Director Debbie Castillo. The staff there is so nuturing and helpful, they always meet my needs and offer different scented shower rooms, chill towels with cucumbers, steam, suana and whirlpool!!! I look foward to my next service, which I happened to book that same day on my way out for Mothers Day! more

I think I actually got rid of some wrinkles! 12/29/2007

I tried the Water facial and it definitely works! My wife is always talking about these expensive treatments and she made the appointments..I don't regret it. I think she was trying to tell me I needed to look younger! Well, I do. The Hydrafacial has great results, a bit pricey, but I guess you can't put a $ on youth! I'll be back when I can afford it. Pros: A facial that works! Cons: slightly pricey more

I don't know who wrote all the reviews for this place: people who have never been to a spa or they're fake! 12/14/2007

PROS: Pros: Nice Lobby, My Therapist was nice Cons: Noisy, not relaxing, overpriced, poor value, needs to be remodeled more

a guy's spa! 10/18/2007

My wife made me go...and it was fantastic. I had a great facial and pedicure, which I won't admit to my friends, but there were just as many men here as women...So I'm hooked and don't feel out of place. There's a reason why women retreat to this place, it's just perfect. My services were fantastic and my wife and I were able to sit side my side to get our pedicures in a private little suite. We'll be back. Pros: Male Friendly and Great Services more

All inclusive great value nice people 10/18/2007

I recently became a member and this place is just hands down the best around. I've only had a few services but they were all exceptional. The fitness club is private, just like I like it! I think I have discovered my new lifestyle! I recommend this place to anyone who wants to feel good in a private setting w/ steam rooms, saunas, a pool!!! Keep up the good work. Pros: location, valet parking, massage, membership is a great value Cons: absolutely NONE more

Best Massage in Town 5/22/2007

Great Club! The staff is friendly and the workout room is fantastic. I recommend this place to everyone. The locker room is stocked with everything from razors to socks...Best place to relax Pros: Free Valet, Great Massages, Locker Room Supplies more

An Oasis! 2/26/2007

This spa is an incredible getaway from the bussle of the big city. Across from South Coast Plaza, this spa is nothing but luxury! There are so many amenities to choose from that you could spend hours just enjoying the facility. There is an additional $10 charge to use the salt water pool, jacuzzi, steam room, and sauna but it is well worth it. Just another side note, there is valet parking only. The customer service is fabulous and there are fresh fruit and herbal tea available in the quiet room. I definitely recommend this spa to anyone looking for wonderful treatment and wonderful services. more

Beautiful Spa..Nice people 2/5/2007

This place is great...stumbled on it while shopping at South Coast Plaza. The people are genuine..it's not stuffy but still luxurious Pros: Genuine People, beautiful spa, great pool Cons: hard to find more

More concerned with making money than providing excellent customer care 1/16/2007

I have been going to this spa for several years for facials and massages, but the service has consistently declined. While the atmosphere is lovely, the quality of the services leaves something to be desired. Their cancellation policy is much too rigid: if you cancel in under 24 hours, you will be charged a fee, even if you are having a medical emergency and are at the ER! It's not worth it. Take your business elsewhere--I know I will. Pros: Beautiful facility Cons: Poor customer service more

Service Anything but First Class 12/30/2006

We have been frequent customers to the Spa for several years. Over the past few months, the quality of the massages have waned. Only two of my past four massages have been ""best of"" quality. Emily C. was friendly, but her massage was weak and she was not able to adjust pressure at all. Additionally, my mom received a massage in early November with Victoria V. that left her with a golf ball size knot in her neck and a bruise for a couple of weeks. Victoria shrugged it off as normal. more

Beautiful Place, Shower Frangrances are Awesome! 12/10/2006

This place is great. It's a little busy on the weekends...sometimes the lounge is packed. But the service is always the same...The self-serve tea bar is my favorite Pros: Ambience, Price, Location Cons: women's lounge is too small more

Phenomenal place. 6/3/2006

I had the best MOther's Day ever! THank you guys. My husband bought me a $300 to splurge, we have a 6month old, and I would have never indulged that much. But I am so glad he did. I had a great facial with Nelida, Hot Stone Therapy and spent a beautiful relaxing day by the pool. The ""THanks Mom"" snacks and mimosas were such a classy touch. I'll be back. Pros: Mimosas, Complimentary breakfa, Peacefullness Cons: NONE! more
