Hi, I am a local photographer from southern CA. I am the Club Photographer and Webmaster for the Southern California Miata Club. Have been in Silvio's about 3 or 4 times now. Sometimes just browsing and other times asking questions about cameras and equipment. Every visit has been GREAT! The staff have been very friendly. On all my visits I have been approached if I needed help, when I have said, ""no thanks"" they were polite enough to leave me alone and let me shop. They NEVER tried to pressure sell me. That's important to me as a customer. If I had questions regarding product they were very helpful, if they couldn't answer my questions they got someone else that could. I was in there last week asked a bunch of questions about wide angles lenses and what they recommended. The sales person was super nice. He actually brought out two lenses and a camera body for me to try out and see the differences. Again, no pressure selling, just a lot of good information for me to think about and decide on. I was very impressed with their bed side manner. In my opinion, this shop is heads above many other camera stores. Take Samy's camera in Costa Mesa for example, they are rude and not as helpful, unfortunately I've dropped thousands of dollars there on cameras and lenses only to receive a snooty attitude later. I wish I would have known about Silvio's back when I was upgrading my equipment! I am definitely planning on returning to Silvio's to purchase my next lens. I prefer giving my business to a store that treats their customers right. Go there they also have a great selection of bags, accessories, and other camera equipment. 5 stars from me.
