WHAT A FIND! 12/29/2011

After driving by this cafe for ages, I finally had the opportunity to stop in for breakfast this morning. Just as sometimes you can immediately tell if a restaurant is going to be a bad experience and you should leave immediately, Side Street gave the feeling that I was in for a treat. more

They give you a lot of food and not a lot of dough. Fun and funky atmosphere. Water smelled a little funny though. Country fried steak was really a steak!!! more

Best Omlette in the O.C. 1/21/2007

Friendly staff, quick service and high turn-over rates ensure that waits aren't long even if the restaurant is packed...which is not uncommon in this retro eatery. love it. must try their turkey avacado omlette or their bacon avacado sourcream omlette! Yummy! 2 thumbs up for this one. Pros: the food! Cons: need more tables more

Stay home and make your own breakfast 1/11/2007

We went to this place because of the reviews online but it was a complete disappointment from start to finish. It's really cramped but that would be okay if the food was good but when I received my food it was cold and I mean cold not cool and the potatoes had no flavor at all. My husband ordered lunch just a burger and it was burnt but I will say the fries had potential if they were served hot. The waitress was nice but not attentive it took me ten minutes to get her attention to have my food warmed up (in the microwave hello I can do that at home for free). more

GOOD FIND 11/24/2006

I GUESS THE REAL QUESTION PEOPLE ASK IS ""WILL YOU GO BACK?""THE ANSWER IS YES.IT TOOK US A WHILE TO FIND THE PLACE,BUT WHEN WE DID WE ENJOYED IT.I HAD THE BACON AND EGGS WITH THE SIDE-STREET POTATOES(ALL GOOD)AND SHE HAD THE CHILI-CHEESE OMLETTE(ALSO GOOD)THE PLACE IS SMALL SO YOU WILL PROBABLY HAVE TO WAIT A LITTLE.IF THE WEATHER IS NICE SIT OUTSIDE ON THE SIDEWALK.NEXT TIME WE GO I'AM TRYING THE FRENCH TOAST.IT LOOKED GREAT. Pros: GOOD COUNTRY STYLE FAMILY BREAKFAST,SERVICE Cons: SMALL PLACE,TABLES CLOSE TOGETHER more

Omg, you have to eat here at least once. I was just here for the first time and i was raving about it to my friends. My boyfriend and I really loved the atmosphere. My food came out pretty quickly. I ordered an omlette with sidestreet potatoes. It was delicious. Great service & great food...highly recommended. Pros: Inexpensive, Good parking, tax included Cons: no credit cards more
