I actually adored this store as soon as it opened. It was beautiful and spacious and downright wonderful. Of course, Shaws in that area has always been expensive, but having the card does make a decent amount at checkout.
Along with the person who reviewed before me, I too have experienced negativity for the employees AND management from that store. My niece worked there in October, it was her first job. So I decided to frequent the store. Just walking around, the stockers were disrespectful children who didn't think twice of trying to get you out of their hair. Some of the cashiers are nice, actually most of them are. Very friendly. But their managers and the floor managers have the worse attitudes. Especially over at costumer service. But the thing is, only in the evening is when you get the bad service, morning time, I am talking opening hours to about noon, is when the service is nice. Later people are just disrespectful, attitude-filled people. The managers, grown adults, don't make it any better.
My niece had reason to miss some days at work due to personal reasons, Shaw's management did not care. They would scold and warn her sternly that she should have known her schedule. My niece did what she had to do to notify those people and they obviously have terrible communication skills because one manager knew her situation, and the other manager didn't.
Especially that main front end manager, he seems as though he does not take pride in his job as he always has a frown upon his face and is constantly yelling and badgering the employees. When you ask for help, he is no different as he tries to continue what he is doing and does not want to be bothered.
Two stars for the look and improvement from the last location next door, and for the cashiers who are as helpful as they can. Management, stock and service desks? later shift people need to be changed. I would not recommend to work or shop there.
