Salon Enclave

Good: I have ethnic hair, very hard to cut and I'm recovering from some bad cuts. Torao did an amazing job and maintained most of my length. I haven't had a haircut this good in years. I got highlights as well and they look superb. They were tailored perfectly for my super curly hair. Worked well with it au naturalle. The service was great. Everyone was nice and friendly. The stylists were young and vibrant. I felt right at home! I saw a wide range of clients coming in and everyone seemed very happy.. Bad: I didn't have a box to put my tip envelope in. The shop is small, but they make the most of the space. You still get the amenities of a large salon, like beverage service.. Improvements: Maybe a curtain in front of the changing area so you don't have to use the bathroom to change into a frock. Advertising for the skin care stuff. There seemed to be a facial/waxing room, but I had no idea they could do that before I went.. Other: I have been searching for YEARS for someone in the Springfield/Burke/Fairfax area who could do curly hair. Really curly hair. And do it so it will look good curly. I never straighten it. Until Salon Enclave and Torao, I kept coming up flat, even with recommendations from friends. This is the REAL DEAL. They are AMAZING.. more

I found this salon was very into their repeated customers, but not so much into new customers. I felt very unwelcome and immediately after I sat down, I almost felt like leaving. The girl working the desk was very rude and almost talked to me as if I shouldn't be there. The guy who did my hair was very nice one second, and then seemed very annoyed the next. He didn't provide ideas or suggestions as to what to do with my hair. I thought the place was way overpriced for the quality and service. I sure am glad I paid with a groupon... because just by paying with that... I thought I paid too much! I am obviously not going back there. I'd prefer haircuttery. more

Always get great service, and love the friendly atmosphere! People always ask me about my hair because it looks so amazing after a visit... more

I have the salon at a low rating due to the lack of customer service from the receptionist they have there. She is loud, obnoxious, and very rude to the customers she is not familiar with. She must be related to the owner of the store. How else would an employee get away with being rude and spending all their time looking in a mirror applying layers upon layers of makeup and still have a job? I have no complaints about the stylists, but I will not be a returning customer. more

I have been there twice now, and the stylists will really work with you. They give good advice, and will actually style your hair as you ask! I have long hair and I am particular about how I want it trimmed. I have never had any issues there. more
