For some reason, I find Safeway's prices high when compared with other grocers in the area. Even with their specials, I can usually find a better deal elsewhere. The quality of produce is usually better at Giant foods or Costco. For this reason, I rarely shop there unless there is an emergency item, as this is the closest store to our house.
