Best

As a venue, the single most impressive thing about this theatre is the fact that no matter where your seat is for a show, the view to the stage is great! Plus the surrounding area...

Ruth Eckerd Hall 8/16/2005

An amazing performing arts hall, with all of the elegance and style of a set straight out of a multi-million dollar movie. If you own an eyepiece, this is the perfect place to wear it to. Despite this level of posh, tickets aren't horribly expensive and it feels like a much more comfortable environment than a stuffy one. The theater itself is surprisingly small, however I have no complaints about this since it simply means you won't have to worry about being too far away or too far to the side. The acoustics are equally pleasant, not overwhelmingly loud, but loud enough that you feel the energy of it without your eardrums hurting. more

Older but also smaller 8/8/2005

While Ruth Eckerd is not one of the newest performing arts centers in the area, its small size does cater to a more intimate experience during plays, musicals, and other performances. The seating arrangment is all floor level which means no mezzanine or balcony seating (I personally prefer mezzanine). The prices for most performances at this hall are usually less expensive than the TPAC. more

Great Theater 8/6/2005

Professional and beautiful theater. I have attended classical music, dance recitals, children's showsand performances and many other live music and shows here. If you are a student (I am) you can get a $10 front seat ticket for almost any show -- what a bargain! Usually the prices are very reasonable though. ($20 will get you a decent seat). They also teach at ruth eckerd hall so if you want to get into theater you can do so here. Great theater, great value, defnitely worth it! more
