Roller Dome Skating Rink

I spent my youth at the Roller Dome and I don't regret it a bit! It probably kept me off the street and a lot of trouble. I'm 57 now and skated there until I was about 19 when I married a girl I met there. Most of the girls I dated as a teen were from there. I went on to skate semi-pro in roller derby and even skated in roller hockey here in the south until I was 47 years old. I got to skate on a team with my son who learned how to skate from me. All from skills I learned at the Dome! Times change, but I'll tell you, I loved the Dome. We had rules and they were enforced and we had great skating things like Spotlight Couples and Topsy Turvy Trio. Thanks to the Dome for giving me a great place to go as a young man!! If we had places like that now... the world would be a better place! more

I used to go to the roller dome every Friday night when I was a kid and now it is old and run down. They play old music and the kids are not well behaved at all. I honestly would not let my child go there by himself. I would be afraid some one would try and mess with him. The kids who hang out here look they are in gangs. If you want a good skating rink go to Omni in Schererville. Dont waste yor money here. more

The Roller Dome Skating Rink is an old skating rink. It has outdated everything. They play music while you skate. They do have good contests with decent prizes. It is average priced with a small cafeteria inside. They have good arcade machines. The one complaint I have is that it is very ghetto. They don't clean much and let kids run around acting like fools. Overall it's a decent skating rink. more
