What a great golf course. I recently moved to COI was pleasantly surprised by how good the course conditions were and how fair it played. I would recommend this course, it is a must play in the Denver area. more

The very WORST golf experience I have 4/23/2012

The very WORST golf experience I have ever had in 40+ years of playing golf. Jeff Meeker, the head pro, is not qualified to manage ANYTHING, let alone a beautiful facility like Riverdale. My wife and I were part of a foursome that when we rounded the turn at 10, Meeker said ""if we don't catch up with the group in front of us, he would bodily remove us from the golf course"". The idiot scared the hell out of my wife. True there was a hole open in front of us, BUT there was over a hole open behind us. We never had the slightest indication that we were playing too slow. No one pushing from behind and it took us 2:10 to play the front. Give me a break. Not only did Meeker's appearance make him look like a complete slob; his unprofessional and crude behavior is something that would never be tolerated at any quality organization. Whoever hired this loser should take a very close look. more

Riverdale has been my home course for 3/14/2012

Riverdale has been my home course for over 30 years. THey have have always treated me with respect and valued me asa customer. Sounds like a few others have some issues and sometimes the customer is not always right in every situation. As for Jeff, I have seen him there for over 10 years and realize that you cannot make every customer happy. I have never had a problem with any staff members so if you want a great place to play, come out and play Riverdale. more

The REVIEW ABOVE from JimL54 is a 3/9/2012

The REVIEW ABOVE from JimL54 is a review from the course trying to cover up Jeff's crappy customer service skills and other issues on the course, just another example of how this golf course operates. SHADY! DO NOT GOLF HERE and i will continue to spread the word :) I have been to this course multiple times just like JimL54 and this place is FAR from great. We had a horrible experience today at Riverdale. I am a long time customer of this golf course and will not be going back due to the lack of communication and customer service by a counter clerk named Jeff. He has horrible customer service skills and is a straight up a$$. I called to make a tee time to catch 9 holes before i had to pick up my son from school being that it was such a beautiful day and Jeff told me that the course was WIDE open and to come on out, i again asked if there was any need to make a tee time due to my son getting out of school and he again stated come on out we are wide open and well get you right on. Well upon arriving to the course Jeff advised me that it would be a 20 minute wait, i told him this is why i called to make a tee time to ensure i could walk on to play and he said well stuff happens and people walk in at any moment. I told him my situation and he said he could get me on the Dunes for another $10. I told him this is not what i was told and tried to explain why i was upset and he cut me off and told me to listen to him, being the customer that pretty much pissed me off. I asked him if he could just get onto the Dunes and honor the price of the Knolls because we could walk on and play and because of the situation and he said no way. Would this have hurt him or the company to make a long time customer who is having a horrible experience happy, i think not!?! much At this point i advised him that i would not be coming back to this course altough i have been there 30+ time in recent years due to his incompetence and customer service skills and he laughed at me. WOW customer service at its best. I will not be playing here anymore and will make sure to spread the word as well. When someone suggests we play RiverDale i will say lets find somewhere else. Besides it cost $22.50 for 9 holes to ride on the Knolls (where they dont even have a map with hole set-ups or yardage, only the Dunes) and it only cost $24 to ride 18 at ThornCreek which is a much nicer course. Take your business somewhere else! Jeff needs to be taught the basics of customer service and the boss needs to figure out the customer service at this place. Its ridiculous to get treated like crap going to enjoy a game of golf? I have had other issues here to....I left a 60 degree wedge on the course and went to the front desk to ask if anyone turned it in and left my info, went back to play about a week later and was talking to cart boy about my club and he said it was in the clubhouse. I went and asked for it and the guy looked around behind the counter and said it wasnt there, i advised him the cart boy told me it was and he talked to his manager and then reached down behind the counter and handed it to me...IT HAD A PRICE TAG PUT ON IT,,,,they were going to sell my club and didnt want to give it back! Place is ridiculous and you can find a much nicer course with better deals in the are. DO NOT give them your business they do not know how to treat people! more

Poor customer service 10/18/2010

i missed my tee time and the course charged me for 4 slots. Even after throwing myself on the mercy of head pro (Jeff) it was clear he was more interested in the short term gain and not customer service/repeat business. I will never golf at Riverdale again and urge you to do the same more

I have played Castle Pines, Champions, and Woodlands (Shell Open) in Houston and this course beats them all. Fantastic greens - teeboxes are better than most greens at other courses. more

Challenging 10/2/2002

The Knolls at Riverdale is a challenging course for experienced golfers. The Dunes are equally challenging for less experienced golfers. A great facility providing fun play for all levels of golfers. Pros: good upkeep, great value, great staff Cons: getting crowded, only 2 beer carts, needs more trees more

Sunday Bliss 7/18/2002

Toss up between Walking Stick in Pueblo and The Dunes at Riverdale for the absolute Best Value for golf in Colorado!! Evertime I tee up at the Dunes is like the first time. My golfing foursome to a man feels we are lucky to have a public course of this caliber within such a close driving distance, we are regulars. more
