i must say... i am baffled by these ""butterflies & unicorns"" reviews of Bob Cheek's gun shop. On their BEST day the sales staff (bob included) have never been anything less than surly. I believe it is an accepted practice in this shop, and promoted by management, to be as rude and arrogant as possible. It is true; they do have good prices and a decent selection. But at what cost to the consumer? If you walk through the door of Plainfield Shooters Supply expect to be passed over, ignored, and generally treated like crap. I can only speculate that Mr. Cheek and company believe that his low prices give them the liberty to ridicule you... and expect you to come back for more. And judging by the aforementioned reviews... it seems they may not be wrong. Which leads to another more baffling question: Why would anyone tolerate this kind of customer service; or better yet, the lack thereof, when there are so many other options available? more
