The best I ever found. 1/8/2011

Pizza Johns is by far the best place I have found for pizza and cheese steaks. The place is extremly clean and the owner runs a tight ship. All of the employees wear a white uniform. You just have to try it to beleive it. I would caution though if you get pepperoni on top of your pizza there seems to be alot of grease that you will have to use a napkin to get off. They must put the pepperoni on after it comes out of the oven and the heat from the pizza cooks it. My son and I love this place though!! more

The True Papa of Pizza! 1/27/2010

Forget about Papa John's, Pizza John's is the true papa and has been around for years (since 1966)!!! The pizza is great, with Pepperoni that curls, that is not dry and tastes like what pepperoni should taste like, great sauce, great thin crispy crust, and alot of cheese! The gnocchi is great, The service is great, great atmosphere, and with great customer satisfaction! At Pizza John's you can carryout, eat in, or buy an uncooked pizza and take it home and cook it yourself! I have never been to Pizza John's where it was not busy! Alot of business means great customer satisfaction! The one and only Pizza John's is worth the drive! Trust me! You will not be disappointed!! The best pizza and subs in Maryland at the cleanest reataurant in town. 7/29/2008

Pizza Johns uses the freshest ingredients and will make you the best pizza that you have EVER had in less than 10 minutes. The restaurant & kitchen is always super clean, as is the parking lot. The employees are very nice. I always take my friends to the restaurant when they're in the Middle River area. The lighting there is perfect too. The only thing that I do not like about the place is that they are closed on Mondays. Pros: Super clean, nice employees, and great food Cons: They're closed on Monday more

Been all over, NY, Chi-town and anywhere else known for pizza and Pizza Johns has some of the best...BAR NONE!!! Have friends that come into town to visit or on biz and they always insist I take them back to Pizza Johns. I know there are very few good pizza joints in that area but come on...get out more. I wouldn't recommend this pizza to my worst enemy. Possibly the best pizza & Italian in Baltimore 5/4/2006

This restaurant is possibly the best Italian food and pizza in Baltimore. You would never know it to drive by the location. Out front is a huge statue of a guy holding a pizza. The buildling's architecture looks like something out of a movie. Though it's well maintained it's just not what you'd expect high quality food to be served. The pizzas are fantastic. When I say we get to have pizza for dinner this is where my children beg to go. All of the items used in the foods are fresh. Everything is made right on the property. You can order carry out which is great if the place is packed which it usually is near dinner time. PROS: Superb quality pizza CONS: Usually very busy at dinner time more

The best pizza in the Baltimore area 11/16/2005

Even while living 30 miles away, I will still venture back to Baltimore as often as possible to go to Pizza John's. We would go there for all occasions back in high school before it was expanded and it is still a popular hangout for teens. Since the expansion, they offer even more seating and even a dessert bar, which is a nice addition. The only downside is that they aren't open on Mondays, but since they are a family owned business, I can understand why they need a day off. But if you haven't had Pizza Johns yet, you must try it! PROS: Great food, great service CONS: No delivery, not open on Mondays more

The Best Pizza in the Area 9/9/2005

I love going and getting a pizza from this place. The crust is wonderful (thin) and the pizza has some grease (which makes it very good). The prices are also comparable to other chains in the area. You have your choice of take out or eating in. They also sell pasta dishes and subs. Another thing that stands out is they sell all the ingredients to buy and make their dishes at home also. PROS: Very good food CONS: Usually crowded...especially on the weekends more

They have the best pizza anywhere around. The food is homemade and is always hot. .This is a very family oriented place with plenty of seating. There is plenty of parking in a well lit parking lot with numerous handicap spots. the employees are more than friendly and eager to help you. more

Unbelievable Service 6/3/2005

A simple extra cheese pizza will make you think you have died and gone to pizza heaven. Their dough is great, you can taste the quality. The sauce is good. The cheese is great. The cheese is gooey and stretchy. My kids love to eat here, and my oldest likes to bring friends to Pizza Johns. I haven't eaten the subs or pasta, I am a diehard pizza fan, but I hear they are good too. If you don't try anything else, try the pizza and milkshakes. I like to eat the cheese first, then eat the dough (crust) last, it is the best part. The staff is friendly and fast. You have never seen a cleaner restaurant than this one. 1 of the best pizza I have found 5/28/2005

We got a 16"" mushroom and pepperoni pizza. YUMMY! One of the best pizzas I have found since I moved to Maryland and I was getting full after 1 slice!! We also got a 14"" cheese steak. I was to full to eat any but the Hubby said it was the best he has had since moving to Maryland. They have great milkshakes also!!!! We will be going back many times!!! I have been going to Pizza John's since I was a kid and you could only carry out. They have the absolute best pizza anywhere! I have lived in Texas for 18 yrs now and every time I go home, this is the first place I go. The cheese steaks are to die for. My Dad even overnighted me a pizza one year. I bring two back with me to Texas whenever I'm there and they always remember me and special wrap them. Pizza John's will always be the best. Wish there was one here! Disappointment 8/27/2004

WRONG ORDER 50% OF TIME! I have been a dedicated Pizza John person since they where a 333 1/2 (down the road from present location). I now am not going to go there anymore because in the last 3 year when I order a plain cheese steak sub or a pizza I get something in it I did not order. Just today I tried to give them another chance a ordered a pepperoine pizza, What I got had onion and mushrooms in it. This never happen in the past and many time I have told them and the problem still exist. If you do not mined having thing you did not order in your meal the food is great.
