Beautiful Diversity 4/30/2009

The aquarium seems small when you first look at it, but if you are willing to give it a chance you will be surprised. The tanks are very well cared for and they host a great abundance of creatures. You actually have to look to enjoy it, if you just cruise by in indifference, you wont be impressed. They also have a touch tank open from 1-4 that is worth checking out. more

Updating the signs! 12/29/2005

I went on a Sunday and admission is free on Sundays. The other days of the week they charge a very small fee. The Pier Aquarium have a few tanks, but the signs are currently being updated. The aquarium is very small but has some valuable information. It was nice to see it once but once was enough to see it all. I encourage you to visit the aquarium if you are at the pier but do not expect much. The gift store for the aquarium is just about the same size as the aquarium itself. more

VERY small 8/7/2005

If you are just looking to spend 15-30 minutes looking at displays, the Pier aquarium is sufficient. Do not expect anything of great size (i.e. no shark displays). Last time I was there they did not charge an admission but did have a small donation box at the front of the entrance (which seemed reasonable). There is a small gift store at the exit of the aquarium for gifts. While I wouldn't consider this an attraction in itself, it is nice to view when visiting the pier for other activities. Parking is located in several lots along the pier. There is a fee but a shuttle will also bring you from the lot to the end of the pier. more
