Best

Amazing, we found the puppies of our dreams. All the questions I asked were answered and were not looked at as “dumb” questions, even though I though they were dumb. The employees...

Worst

Great store 10/8/2010

I want to comment that both these stores offer low cost shot clinics and refer you to clinics that you can have you pets spayed or neutered.at a reduced price. They also offer rescue dogs and cats that come from many organizations. In this day and time there are not many stores left that even have pets available. The staff offers their advise as to the care and feeding of anyone pets. more

The staff was SO knowledgable and CARING!!! 10/5/2010

I was impressed by the helpful staff and the very sweet natured cats, kittens and pups that were there. Very friendly and Pure Bred, not from mills. Very beautiful and well taken care of. Staff was very helpful with great attitudes. I definately recommend shopping there. more

I whole-heartedly recomend Susan at Pet's Delight 9/30/2010

I have a two year old Shih Tzu named Molly, who absolutely loathed the groomer. The first time she was groomed, she was six months old, and I took her to Petsmart. They completely shaved off all of her hair, and my brand new, fluffy puppy, looked like a hairless cat. They told me she was matted, and that a "shave-down" was the only thing they could do. Not only was I shocked at the cut they gave her, but her attitude when I brought her home was strange. She seemed very timid and shaken, not at all like how she was when I brought her in to the groomer. When her hair grew back, and it was time to be groomed, my friend recomended the groomer at the Pet's Delight store in So. Pas. Her name is Susan, and she is there on the weekends. Molly's hair was long, and I feared that another "shave-down" situation would occur, but I was "delighted" when Susan told me that she does not "SHAVE" dogs. Yes, Molly was matted, but she assured me that no matter what, she would do what was best for Molly. Her groom included her bath, nails, ears, anal glands, and cut. I was completely thrilled to find that Susan had kept her promise, and Molly looked gorgeous. Her hair was an inch and a half long, and her face was round and happy. She actually looked like a puppy, most importantly a happy matt-free puppy. Susan handed Molly to me after she gave her a kiss and a hug. Molly was obviously as thrilled as I was, as she wagged her tail and licked my face. Needless to say, Molly goes to Susan on the weekends every eight weeks, and is a very happy girl. I will never take my dog any where else. I whole-heartedly recomend Susan at Pet's Delight, she was wonderful, and most importantly, Molly loves her. As for the actual store, I have never bought a dog from there, but the puppies look happy and healthy, and the people that work there have always been lovely to Molly and I. It's a very Mom and Pop store, which I like, because it's cozy. Molly enjoys their toys, and collars. more

nothing but great experiences at Pet's Delight 9/28/2010

After a lot of thought and pondering getting a puppy, I decided to come here and see if I would make a "connection" with any. I thoroughly thought out many factors, what I can provide a puppy...and although I really wanted to get a "rescue" dog, I still view this as giving a puppy a home, a life. Anyways, Pets Delight is a small little store in South Pas. They have an ARRAY of different dogs, but when I described to Allan (employee) my life style etc. he brought out the most darling little Maltese. I didn't want a little dog at all...but I'm not ready for anything larger at the moment with the town house having limited yard space. He let me stay in a room with "Riley" (that's what I've named him) and there was just a connection...every physical characteristic about what I wanted in a dog just went out the window and I want HIM. So Allan called up the other families to let him know that the dog is not available anymore and I am picking him up today. They have all his papers and the price ($2200) includes one complimentary vet visit. The catch, my dad happens to be their vet, so there's a couple things that could potentially work out. What I loved most was that Allan definitely loves his job and I wish there were more of him out there in these pet stores. more

They lost my dog! 7/24/2007

My family had been taking our dogs to Pet's Delight for grooming for several years, and never had a problem. I am visiting my family for the summer with my border collie, Monty, from Philadelphia. I dropped off my parents' dogs and Monty for grooming one Friday morning. That afternoon I got a call that Monty had gotten out. They had looked for him for 1.5 hours before calling me. It turned out the lock on his cage was broken, and the door to the street left open. It later came out that he had wandered loose around the store before running out. At least one employee saw him in the store, and did not grab him. The grooming staff had gone to lunch. After 7 hours of my family and friends looking, calling, and putting up fliers, I did find Monty, thankfully. But it was one of the worst days of my life, terrified for my poor dog lost in a city he doesn't know. While the staff of Pet's Delight did not intentionally harm my dog and they were all desperately sorry, there were several mistakes made by several staff members. It was only a small miracle that I found him again. I was absolutely livid that it took 1.5 hours to tell me he had gotten out --he would have responded to my voice much better than theirs. This is basically a case of incompetence. I would strongly discourage anyone from leaving their animals in the care of these people. more

Great Pet store! 10/2/2005

I love going to this pet store! What I like about this store is that they have a wide assortment/variety of dogs-large and small. Most pet stores that I go to only sell small dogs. They even have an open cage, so that customers can play and pet with dog inside the cage. Aside from your typical pet store, they also offer services of pet motels and grooming. more

Local pet shop is hit or miss 8/12/2005

Pet's Delight has a wide selection of animals. Ranging from dogs to fish to reptiles, they have them all, which is quite surprising considering the size of the store. All of their animals look healthy, but some that I have gotten end up dying on me; these are namely fish. They do have cute dogs there, but many of them are quite pricey and I've noticed that some have behavioral problems. more
