Me and my wife were having the worst day and hating Miami beach because of the bad service and rude people. But, we drove up to Surfside and stopped in at Pescecane Italian restaurant and they literally changed our mind about Florida in general. This is a great restaurant with great food and the BEST service we have had in Florida so far. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, even if you are not having a bad day. more

Upon entering we liked the low lit but not dark look of Pescecane. Interesting use of the sides of wine bottle crates. Attention to service detail was amazing with 2 well dressed waiters tending to our table consistently but never bothersome.\r Starting with the complimentary antipasti of grilled zucchini, assortment of olives, mini bruchettas and chunks of parmesan cheese taken right off a half wheel sitting on a wood board atop the bar, we knew this would special. After the mushroom ravioli we knew we were in heaven. The ravioli were covered with delicious truffle oil infused champagne cream sauce finished off with our waiter grating black truffle top of the dish.\r Dinner consisted of Ossobuco with risotto, Costine DiAgnello and Branzino. The Ossobuco was tasty and tender and the risotto was cooked perfectly creamy. The Branzino was worth every penny. After reviewing our cooked salt covered sea bass our waiter took it to and back table where he removed the skin and bones, with the precision of a surgeon leaving beautiful white tender filets of perfectly cooked sea bass. Along with the main courses came broccoli rabe with crumbled cooked sausage and garlic, the same way I myself prepare it home.\r Always a little room to try a dessert and again not disappointed at all. The Tiramisu was the best I have ever had.\r We have eaten all over Italy and New York, the epicenter for Italian American cooking and Pescecane is by far the best Italian restaurant we have ever tried. Bravo to the chef. 5 stars for the detailed service and the amazing food. more

This dish is overpriced @ 22.00 the clams are good quality but the chef did not know how to cook it witch by the way is not Italian, and it`s ok not to be Italian and work in a Italian restaurant as long as they know how to cook well specially in a place like this.\r \r # 1 the dish tasted like they let the wine burn preparing the dish, they add it shallots to the dish , never heard of it on linguine vongole and it was bland , \r \r I ask the waiter for no chopped garlic on my dish and guess what I gut? chopped shallots in it !! the funny part the waiter and the captain argued with me that there was not chopped garlic as if I dint know what shallots are ?? duuuhhh?? as if they were talking with some one that dos not know about food. service or the restaurant business !!!!!!!!!!\r \r PS. ill like to add that the person whom rated this and priced is WRONG!!!!!!! the entrees start at $20.00 to \r $ 55.00 not $15.50 to $ 25.00 , bottom line the dishes do not merit this prices nether the restaurant or the service are worth it ,there is nothing special . also I was overcharged on my bill. I could have gone few blocks down on Collins and dine at Il Mulino or at carpaccio a block away or many other very good restaurants in the area for a much better dinning experience and value, so not worth it!! Don't waist your money or time on this place , they charged me for one extra bottle of water , and when I call the waiter and told him !! with a very straight face told me that we had 2 bottle not one and went and told the other waiter to cover his self , and at one point he give mo son regular water which had dirt on it we could see on the bottom of the glass , and once the person who seamed to be in charge that was seating on 2 table way from us left!! our table was abandoned dirty dishes seat on the table for 15 minutes , we ask for more bread and we waited 14 minutes for 3 prices of bread , so I dint give the usual 5 or 10 % extra gratuity I usually give, all he gut what was on the check 20% , he should consider his self lucky he even gut that!! under all circumstances\r I am person that dines out a lot for entertainment and pleasure and consider my self a buongustaio (connoisseur) I go out to dine and entertain not to eat !! and incidents like this make me think that some restaurants simply don't deserve the fame or 4 stars 3 at the most,\r \r PS. I can deal with and overlook a lots of things when I go to a restaurant but NOT OVERCHARGE AND LIE ON MY FACE !!!!!!!!! a place that overcharge you for even 0.5 cents are not trustworthy!!!\r \r \r \r Max more

Miami's best restorant 3/12/2011

In one word Impeccable! ?I have traveled quite a bit and sampled many restaurants, when I came across this one of a kind gem. ?Honestly everything about it was amazing; the food, the wine, and the service! I can't wait to go back. ?Jorge, who was our server was nothing less than perfect. Look closely when driving down Harding Ave so you don't miss this wonderfully intimate and amazing place.? I would come back to Miami just to enjoy Pescecane again. more
