Very BAD service 3/17/2011

I just wanted to say that I was not happy with my gun repair. I had a 22 Browning to be repaired and cleaned, which was promised when I brought the gun in. I picked it up today and found that the gun was not cleaned as promised and the cost of the site was double the amount that was estimated by you and the guy with the beard and grey hair. I paid it because I had too. I spoke to you about this and you gave me I don't care attitude about what you said you'd do and what you did. Because of this I will not return nor will I recommend you business to anyone I know. I will also be placing notices on my business web page, face book, my space pages. Unless you want to resolve this big problem, then we can work this out. I believe this would be in your best interest and future business to work with me. Thank you for your time and consideration. more

Good Service and a Great Help! 8/20/2010

Despite the first reviewers poor review, I have a differing one. Over the years I've gone into the store from time-to-time to purchase ammo, etc. The owner doesn't have much stock, and prices are a bit higher than say Walmart, but he's always willing to help and answer questions. I just purchased a used Ruger Mark II .22lr and despite following a youtube video, I managed to get stuck when breaking it down. It appears a frame screw had wedged the hammer. I took it in. He was very helpful, conscious that I wanted to go shooting with my new gun in two days, and had it done in less than 1 day. Fixed up good as new. It cost less than I expected and couldn't recommend this place more highly. If you are new to guns, go there. Even if you don't buy a gun from him, at least you'll get some information and hand holding. If you need a repair, go there. It won't cost as much as other places and you won't be looked at like an idiot either. more

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND GUNSMITHING SKILL 2/27/2009

I went into store to get a front sight changed on my pistol. Gave him the gun and filled out work ticket. Was given no estimate of time when he took the work order and my gun. I had to ask him when it would be done. He looked blankly at me and said, ""Sometime early next week. Ill call you when its done"". 1 week goes by..no call. Tuesday 1 week 4 days later I go down to shop after no phone call. He goes to the back and gets my gun. It was finished last week. Where was my phone call?. Then he peened my slide and marred my slide ($1700 gun) to set the sight. No asking if it was ok. He could have raised it with shims. DONT GO here. He is a idiot. Pros: Sign outside said gunsmith...easy to see from road. Cons: Lacks skill set to be called a gunsmith. more
