This is my choice when seeing movies on the big screen for the last time. Located near a couple major intersections and a major state highway, The Palace also sits in a small shop...

Great theater 4/11/2006

This is an older theater in Springfield and has been around for a few years. It is really nice though for the cheaper movies. They usually show movies that are not new releases anymore, but still fairly recent. Prices are fabulous and the movie theater food is what you would expect. Usually not too crowded either, so it is a great place to go without spending a ton of money or having a lot of hassle. Parking is abundant and there are many things nearby to do afterward. more

The Palace Is Great 3/28/2006

It's true the movies are not the "newest" out, but you can't beat their price for a ticket. The popcorn and drinks aren't too bad. They are really close to a lot of restaurants, so you have a choice to eat before or afterward (or both) for a nice date. The theater is pretty clean and comfortable. All in all it is a great place for an inexpensive date. more

Cheap Palace 9/15/2005

Palace Theater is a great place to go for a cheap date. No matter how broke you are you and a friend can enjoy a movie on the big screen for about five bucks-popcorn not included. Of course the do play movies after they have been out for a while and if you know that you will be buying it you might as well wait a couple of weeks. But if you just need a night out with your honey or with the girls this is a cheap way to do and see some movie you may not have thought of if you had to pay full price. more

Cheap Second-Run Movies 9/14/2005

This is my choice when seeing movies on the big screen for the last time. Located near a couple major intersections and a major state highway, The Palace also sits in a small shopping/eating district, perfect for ice cream or coffee or pizza afterward. The tickets are $2.50 each and concessions are offered inside. The seats are comfortable and the theater clean. Parking is adequate, though a little tight on weekend nights. more

Cheap Movie 8/18/2005

Got a date? Need a cheap movie? This is the place. It’s 2.00 per ticket although the concession is going to cost you at 3.50 for a large drink! They play newer movies and the theater is clean. The bathrooms are tolerable and there is an arcade in the front for kids waiting on a movie to start. more
