MEAN LADY
We arrived after 4 hours of driving in the AC and parked in the shade by the pond where it was 75 degrees, we left the dog in the car while we checked in. Being by the pond, there were loads of gnats swarming the car, so I left the windows up so they didn't fly into my car. I didn't leave the car on because it was so cool, I knew the dog would be fine for 3 minutes in the car.
After checking in, on our way to our car, the nasty older woman approached us and asked if that was our car. We said yes and she said, "ARE YOU NUTS?" And proceeded to insult and demean us for leaving our dog in the car with the windows up and the car not on. So not only was she just an unpleasant and unfriendly face to greet you when you first arrive into the campgrounds, she sought us out to yell at us like we were a couple of children who misbehaved and she felt she was in her place to correct us.
POOR SECURITY
Now about the poor security. This is a rather large campground, so you would expect to see security patrolling around pretty much all throughout the day and night. This is not the case at this campground as it is with every other one we've stayed at.
The first night, the couple next to us got into a drunken marital argument that included lots of yelling, beer can throwing, cursing, and at one point they both hit each other.
This went one from 11pm to 1 am. The father also decided to urinate next to my car at least twice. We did not want to confront him because you cannot argue with an irrational abusive drunk person. We did complain the next day. The reaction we got was utterly unimpressed and they were not bothered in the slightest, they did not apologize. A security man didn't arrive until 6 hours later and they never patrolled the area again to make sure the couple did not become drunk and disorderly again through the night. Basically, this camp ground does not seem to really care about its guests and takes no initiative to promote customer relations and ensure secure grounds. Avoid!
