Ocean View Chinese Restaurant

We've eaten Chinese food all over the world, including NYC's Chinatown and San Fran's. The food at Oceanview is superior to most! Mr. Ma is a superb chef... but watch out. He cooks what he wants when he wants and most diners wouldn't put up with all his ""rules."" The signage around the place will give you some insight... they post one every time they have a problem with a customer! The food is excellent -- but you will pay top dollar for it! Oh, and don't go if you're in a hurry. He works in the back by himself and it can take about an hour to be served, depending on when you show up and how many are ahead of you. ""Ocean View"" (There is far from an ocean view. Like the other reviewer said, its in a strip mall) Chinese restaurant is a very capable place when it comes to good Chinese fare. Its certainly much better than the horrendous ""New Dragon"" close by. The food is on a par with the ""Pagoda Inn"" in NK. Unfortunately I have to take off two stars for they take advantage of their location by charging higher prices. Most choices on the menu are more expensive than comparable Chinese fare anywhere else a little further north. Try it if your really hungry and already in the Pier.
