Could have been worse, but not much 11/9/2009

I brought my mother here for dinner. The place was almost empty, we were given a booth and ordered. Our drinks came and we waited, and waited. Two young men came in and sat at the booth behind my mother. They were joined by another young man who was already there and proceeded to have a discussion that was more swearing than anything else. When the server finally brought our food I asked if we could sit somewhere else. When they heard me the men left. My food was cold-the server apologized and offered me another meal but my mom was upset so I declined and she removed it from our bill. She left and returned with 2 business cards from the manager with one meal free scribbled on each of them-from what I heard the manager was too busy watching "the game" to apologize in person. Our server was excellent-I can't blame her for the kitchen. My mother liked her salad but for a near empty restaurant it took too long for our food and it appeared the manager didn't care at all. There are a lot of chain restaurants out there-Wlfd has it's share and this one does not measure up. more

Good Solid Food 5/28/2007

This 99 is on a very busy road and consequently is probably the busiest one that we visit. We have friends in Wallingford though and this is where we often choose to meet. The drinks are strong, the food is good and service is always acceptable. They really will try to make you happy. They have some new pasta dishes which are quite good but we usually stick with the tips or the prime rib. They have discontinued the butternut squash which is sad because it was very good. This is a child friendly chain and handicap accessible. more

Best Burger In Town! 7/10/2005

The Ninety Nine House is home to THE best burger I've ever eaten. I believe it was called the Rodeo Burger, but it consisted of a large meat patty, bacon, 2 types of cheese, and some special sauce. It was incredible, the service was superb, and the price was moderate of $12 for everything. The Ninety Nine House is a restaurant that must be visited by everyone! more
