Worst theatre I have ever been to. 1/28/2010

Good: The movie was great.. Bad: Everything else.. Improvements: This theater is wayyyy outdated and needs major renovations. They have a serious mouse problem. My girlfriend and I managed to sit through this issues with mice crawling on the seats! That probably why there theater smells like a bucket of urine and a fat bag of dog poop. Not to mention the seats fall out from under you. But the best part was trying to get to the seats in the total dark with no step lighting! I guess the theater is waiting for a major lawsuit.. Other: I will never visit this theater again. I heard that this was a nice theater. Then again I was told about how great this theater was four months ago. Luckily there is a no star award or else I would give it that.. more

Very Comfortable 4/24/2006

We brought a bunch of kids here to see the Ice Age sequel and I was very pleased. I personally love the stadium seating, and in addition each seat rocks, so it's very comfortable. When you hold your little one the whole time that matters. The $6 matinée price was actually $ .50 cheaper than the other big theaters around so we saved another $3. They had a much larger candy selection than in Fishkill with the same outrageous $3+ per box price. It wasn't spotless, but not gross either. I could live with it. My only real complaint was the long line at the concession. The had another full stand in the back, but no one manning it. It seemed like that would have been nice to have both going and save some time. Overall, I would much prefer it there for a matinée than the other local movie theaters for a new movie. more

good all-around theater 4/13/2006

The DeStinta is nothing special, but it is a decent theater. They have first-run movies, and the admission prices are average. Matinees are $6, which seems kind of high. Tuesday nights are "bargain" nights when the tickets for for the matinee price. 12 screens, stadium seating. http://www.destinta.com/t4.php more

Like it, but cleaning leaves much to be desired 4/13/2006

I've been going to Destinta since it opened in New Windsor. You can't beat the stadium seating and the convenient location. Ever since the new theater opened up in Newburgh, weekends haven't been as packed there, which I appreciate. My one tiny little miniscule complaint about Destinta is that recently, the theaters haven't been as clean as they used to be. I understand that wear and tear has an effect, but I think it would be worth their while to have the seats and cupholders cleaned and carpet replaced, even if it means some inconvenience to patrons. more

Destinta 8/11/2005

Destinta is a great movie theater. It tends to get crowded on opening nights because most of the students in the area tend to go there. It is a very nice theater with stadium seating and surround sound for all the screens plus they have lots of movies playing and give a student discount. more
