They know chocolate! 10/19/2005

Miel is undoubtedly one of the best pastry shops in the area. The delicate and creative work of Bennett, previous pastry chef of world renowned Le Bec Fin, will definitely leave you in awe. Once you enter the store, you will be romanced by fluffy cakes, petit fours, and everything in between. Miel specializes in chocolate. So, chocolate lovers beware – you will find yourselves there every weekend. Seek out its hot chocolate during the winter time - a special concoction that is rich in flavor. more

A new find for me...YUMMY!! 10/3/2005

I was told about this bakery by a friend and i was having a few guests so I gave it a try. They are pricey but they had such beautiful pastries and they were even more delicious than they looked. I would say this is a good special occasion bakery because at least for me the prices are a bit high for everyday. My guests loved the pastries too!! more

A nice little shop 9/18/2005

I discovered Miel Patisserie in the Village Walk while I was buying crab cakes at Bobby Chez. Miel is a wonderful little shop, with so many cute little cakes and baked treats, all of which look delicious. They also sell bread. The clerk was very helpful and friendly when I came. The store was well-appointed and clean. And, the goods are fabulous. The bread I bought was delicious, and the creme brulee I sampled was extraordinary. The only cons of this store are the prices (cakes can cost $25!) and the freshness of the goods. I came before closing, and while the clerk did throw out the day old bread, she didn't throw out the cakes. I guess they don't bake them fresh each day? I believe that Miel is run by a pastry chef from Le-Bec Fin, but I could be wrong. Either way, it is a nice little shop. more
