Agree with V Monkey 3/5/2011

I agree with the poster that said ""How are they in business??? & compared it to tacos that taste like school cafeteria food. It's all ground beef and tasteless canned sauce. And to the lady that talks about how long they've been in business; Taco Time has been around since 1959. That must also be great Mexican food in her opinion. LOL! Maybe try a place sometime that's not just frequented by old white people. Like Don Pedros (a REAL 'hole in the wall' but GOOD)! more

It is what it is 3/4/2011

I have been frequenting Mexican Villa for 37 years. If your expecting Chipoltes, Baja Fresh, or upscale Mexican cuisine forget about it, this place is a hole in the wall. This is simple Mexican food with no frills and served the same way. I can assure you the beans and hot sauce are not canned.Owned and operated by the same family for 40 plus years their food has remained consistent, it is mainstay of the Orchards area of Vancouver, Wa. I love their food and 37 years latter still enjoy it and I think being in business over 40 years and having so many loyal customers speaks for itself. more

Be Suspicious of the Great Reviews 2/26/2011

After reading the good reviews on here we thought we would give the place a try. I am now VERY suspicious of those who wrote such glowing reviews ESPECIALLY the person claiming to be from Texas and comparing this to ""Real Tex-Mex"". I can't help but wonder if the owners themselves or some of their friends wrote the great reviews. Was the food horrible? No. But it was typical of the types of places we had in the Pacific Northwest years ago prior to anyone moving here with any idea of what real Mexican food was. The beans and sauce are obviously out of a can and the beef is just ground hamburger. Nothing special or noteworthy. The one good thing I will say is that the server was friendly and the food was delivered to us hot and fresh. HOWEVER...Almost everything on the menu was close to double the price that it should have been in my opinion. I do not wish to sound mean because, as I said, the people were very nice and the service was fast but I cannot imagine anyone who has ever eaten real Mexican food anywhere thinking this was the ""real thing"" or that the prices are even close to reasonable for the quality and quanity of food you get for the money. more

How are they in business??? 1/22/2011

First time here. I figured its been around a long time and must be great. How wrong could that statement be. Tacos that looked and tasted like school cafeteria grade and enchiladas that were obviously microwaved in the Styrofoam to go container. This has to be the worst money I have ever spent on food. more

what a great little place 8/31/2010

Being from Texas I was saddened to find that ""Real Tex-Mex"" does not exist up here. My boss and coworkers have been going to this place for several years now and they recommended I join. WOW was I suprised. This is a little, old establishment however thier food is great. They do have limited seating but everything is spic and span. I have been back over and over trying everything ion the menu and have not been disappointed yet. If you like TRUE TEX-MEX then you will love this place. more

Horrible cold burrito 5/7/2010

I can here with my son for the first and last time. The place is small and old and dirty. I ordered the combo burrito for 3.90. It came on a large plate wrapped in that yellow paper. I couldn't wait to bite in. The burrito was cold in the middle, the cheese was not melted of course and I didn't like the mystery meat. Now I could get the same thing at Taco bell but I won't go into that. My son got a bean burrito and his seemed hot because his cheese melted and rice and beans which were good but so is mucho gracias beans/rice. Pros: price Cons: decor, food more
