Okay where to begin... FIRST OF ALL, You get what you pay for. Yes they are 10,000 cheaper then other schools, but other schools teach u make-up, sew in hair extensions, and so on...

Editorial review from Citysearch 3/6/2014

Nikkiij, It almost appears as though you might be a competitor or perhaps have a major ax to grind because there is so much emotion and hyperbole in your review. First of all, there is a set standard curriculum in the State of Texas that all students must meet in order to pass state board and obtain their license. It only stands to reason that if Metroplex Beauty School was substandard in any aspect of their curriculum, cleanliness or professionalism, they could lose their state licensing. Secondly, their students would not graduate at such great numbers, their graduation rates and grades from, what I understand, are from 97-100 nearly 100% of the time.\r Furthermore, all things being equal (the fact that ALL Texas Cosmetology students must show profiency in both written examination as well as the practical examination) in order to graduate and earn licensure is up to each individual student and this is true for any school, community college or university. Those who apply themselves with the right attitude and talent usually prevail and this is true in most things in life. Jesus said, what you do to the least of my people, you do to me. Personally, I would rather learn from a superb and highly talented loving business than one who places profits above the beautiful people. Think about it, those who decide on the most expensive education are many times burdened with the extra debt which really bought no higher exam scores. As far as myself, I did manage two separate salons within a year of graduation from Metroplex Beauty School in 1984 and my very first job was as a manager of a salon. I am a business woman myself and I do not think it is very professional for anyone to partake in such vitriol regarding a very good business. It makes you look bad even though you do not have the courage to use your real name. \r Sincerely,\r Priscilla Diane Long\r Graduate, Metroplex Beauty School 1984 more

What a JOKE of a school... 8/27/2011

Okay where to begin... FIRST OF ALL, You get what you pay for. Yes they are 10,000 cheaper then other schools, but other schools teach u make-up, sew in hair extensions, and so on. Where as Metroplex does not. The teachers teach out of the book, and cannot even pronounce the words correctly. Then they are really unhelpful. Everyone that runs this school is related, and they do not care if you get the help you need or not. In fact, they will just tell you that you should just find another school. They will even give you names and locations to where other schools are. They are all unprofessional here. They are very unorganized, make up new rules all the time, and there is more drama between the teachers and students. The teachers also have their favorites. The faculty will treat you like crap. They teach professionalism, but are not even professional themselves. They will even get on the phone with your parents and call names. One of the teachers will always tell you, ""Maybe you need to check yourself."" Maybe it is the school, or maybe it is YOU! Or maybe it is lies. That is all I ever got from the faculty here. They lied to me, and my mother. What a waste of time. FIND ANOTHER SCHOOL!! more
